What is that ONE thing that hinders you from joining outings

no time, no mood, no money!!!!
seriously I dun have a problem in meeting strangers frm the net.. .as long as got 1 person I noe I can liao.. the rest can be introduced mah....
my 1st outing is non-official one... cos went out with jilime and end up joining another forumite's bday celebration at NB.... so paiseh, till tis day I dunnoe who's the bday gal....
1st time meeting the rest like rb, hong, x-men etc.... *names mentioned cos I got 1) talked to them alot 2) danced with them 3) wat my horrible memory can recall..... I noe I sure got miss out some body one....

actually got a few reasons.
too big a grp
go there...too many ppl..dunno what to say, say wrong things=offend ppl
dun say anything say i dao ( sigh...kanna misunderstood at the BBQ)
100% introvert
sometimes is because to avoid potential conflicts
don shy lah... narz jie very nice one mah.... won't eat u up one mah...
conflicts? so wat? as long as learn from mistake can liao mah....
but if u dare to take more initiative, who noes? likely to end up with more friends and widen your social circle!

Sometimes outings with bigger groups are more fun than too small groups; more people to mix around with.
With too small groups, sometimes you get that sudden silence... then very stress to say something to fill it kekekek -

i guess why some are reluctant to join outings is because they are scare.. with articles and newspaper reporting going ard, saying how guys cons ger to meet up over the net and end up having a mischap,like gena raped etc etc
my first outing was a KTV session, organised by Da jie and the rest, but it was kindda of initiated by me as i post a thread on "how to sing"
hesitated for quite some time before i decided to go for the outing.. because i scare i paiseh.. and scare cannot blend it.. scare i offend ppl......
but subsequently, i read the thank you thread that was posted for each outing and find it very fun, so i gathered going out with them shldn't be very bored....
i must say i enjoyed myself very much, not as i think it would turn out to be.. ppl there treat newbies like oldbies, but must agree that sometimes u will scratch head to understand what they are saying, but that's inevitable, but definitely not a sign of outcasting newbies i think...
subsequent outings include, chervrons, sentosa, movies..... etc etc...... -

well, my first outing was the sgforum outing.....
i think i was so shy tat day....
the first thing i do there is get force to speak into the mike....
i so panick till i was looking at the ground when i see churra.
then they ask mi to intro myself......
i say i dun know....
then later part i pick up hong hong almost wanna throw her down the sea.
she scream like noone biz....
i pai sei again put her down
then chua dai thee got seacumcuber and sthu, i pass my card all the way.(dare not look at them)
in the end, last game is the number game.....
when it reach my turn.......
i put my finger in my mouth and as usual say dun know......
so pai seh
in the end, i got first prize but again.....
pai seh to bring the prize home....
in the end, i dun know anyone from the outing.... -

Actually, after chatting so long on sgforums, I think meeting will only come naturally. Hard to blend in is actually not a problem if you have no enemies in sgforums. Whahah
I don't know if I can classify myself as shy or not, but I do make an effort to be unshy. Hahaa. -

the SUE nutters... it ended up a huge gathering at the Piazza
remembered needing ciggies and at that time, Plaza Singapura had none!
took orders from everyone, went to Hotel Rendezvous (yes! that far!!) to get everyone ciggies..
after a while, Kilkenny Lager lubricated the brains and tongue and a good time was had by all -

my first outing with sian forum at sunlight ktv,i went there by contacting narzjie.narzjie was so friendly and brought me in and introduce me to all the sian people.they all so funny and friendly.estee jie was so systematic and make sure everyone have the chance to sing.it was memorable.but i was very quiet because i do not know the people there well.now trying to be more active for outing.
