What is that ONE thing that hinders you from joining outings

hmm i can't remember leh it's so long ago..
i dun have much problems with shyness.. but i guess when i was new pple that i haven't met aren't that important to me, so in a sense i put the outing as last priority, if i busy then i won't go. but then that means i dun really suit ur profile of being "keen to go, and want to make new friends" cos i'm not!
anyway now wat deters me from going (trying not to sound dao like some marine creature!!
) is becos some pple i rather not see, and also of course mainly becos busy.
but hey, i'm still pretty active, and can still complain when u all boh jio!!!!!!!

sometimes i have to come late becos i need to go to camp. -
uh. The number of people going
Too big a number freaks me out. So many new faces at one go.
And then.. sometimes alot of people going for a particular outing I'm not familiar with..

yup yup yup.. that is the main reason for me too.. anyway, i have been to a few other forum outings. so far, i would say the people in sgforums get to mix with each other quite well. furthermore, they dont really practice much of a old birds and new birds system around here...
which is why i try to emphasize more on events whereby participants have got things to do, rather than sit down and talk.
no, i dont mean chit chatting sessions are bad. but i mean when the crowd have something to play with, the level of awkwardness is definitely diminished due to the minimal communication required.
of course, this is achievable under the condition that the new participants are willing to put in some effort to socialise as well.. -

3. scared cannot blend in or will be ostracized cos i bery chio and i not bery dao (1 vote)
4. skeptical about meeting ppl from the net esp some evil fishes around.. (1 vote)
5. fear of too big group (1 vote)
