the thing about dialects are the different nuances, timing, accenting, inflection and all that.. which makes one who has not spoken it all their lives sound very strange, more than strange actually, trying to speak it...
what more trying to type it out
i've found that unless one grows up speaking teochew, one ends up sounding really strange no matter how they try to pick it up.. -

if want to teach u in dialets, cannot just type out for u to read...cos got diff tones n stuff

(konichiwa - used when meeting ppl who u do not really noe very well..japanese use "yoz" between frens just like some of us..) Thank you
(arigato..more formal way will bi arigato gozaimasu..super formal - domo arigato gozaimasu) Sorry
(gomenasai.."gomen ne" or "suman" - usually used between frens..for someone u dunno well - sumimasen) Good bye
(sayonara..between frens - "ja ne" or "mata ne")

---> these 3 r actually the standard way of asking..very good if the person is someone u dun really noe well...for frens..for example, when asking for fone number..can actually say..chotto denwa bango oshiete.. Where do you live? (i donno)
---> formal way: doko ni sunde imasu ka? casual way: doko ni sunderu? Are you free tonight? (i donnO)
---> formal way: konya ojikan arimasu ka? garang way: nanpa sh|te mo ii? -
