Those jokers from across the causeway finally got a chance to savour the taste of our saichwee a.k.a. Newater, when PUB supplied them with 10 million gallons of it per day to help them ease their water crisis after their pipeline was damaged by a landslide on Monday. Call it divine retribution!
But in the event if one scenario that might actually come back and bite us. Given they have a bursted pipe..they have already reduce water to us for a duration. Imagine if you will, one day they purposely burst a few more pipe and tell us...due to the repair..so for a period of time they will not be able to supply water to us. Now you see how negotiation will go. Yes it would also mean restricted the limited water to their own folk in Johore but then again when has politics really been about helping people...at the expense of making us feel what it is like to have limited water for a while. Love it or hate it...they have the upper hand so let's trend carefully folks.Let's not mess up...that is the job of the govt.

The Public Utilities Board is now working closely with Johor authorities to supply water to Johor after a landslide damaged a major water pipe supplying water to the city area.
PUB said since the incident, Johor is taking 10 million gallons more water a day from Singapore.
In the landslide which happened around the Puteri Park construction site on Saturday evening, one of four main water pipes were damaged.
As a result, the Syarikat Air Johor Holdings (SAJH) which oversees the supply of water from the Loji Air Sungai Johor to the city, said supply would be reduced by 30 per cent or about 35 million gallons of water daily until the pipe is fixed.
This is expected to take about a week.
And until supply is restored, the SAJH has provided water-tanks to supply water to the affected residents.
Media reports have put the number of residents affected at 500,000.
The water pipes supplying water to Singapore were not damaged by the landslide.

Singapore is a good neighbour, supplying JB with extra water when they are in need, helping a neighbour when they need help.. But i don't understand why Malaysia want to quarrel over the Pedra Benca (dunno how to spell) issue, and the water issue, everything s about water..
