NON-Constituency Member of Parliament Steve Chia admitted taking 'sexy photos' of his Indonesian maid, but denied molesting her, at a press conference held on Sunday morning.
Mr Chia revealed that he had originally taken some 'decent' photos of the maid as she wanted to send them home to her family. However, he then convinced her to take the 'sexy' pictures in her bra and jeans.
He deleted the sexy photos of the maid from the computer at once, as agreed with the maid, but forgot to empty the computer's trash bin where his wife later found them.
He maintained that she was never naked, and neither was he in any nude photos with her, although he had separately taken shots of himself in the nude.
As for his political career, he said: 'It's for the public to decide after hearing my side of the story, to see whether I am still able to lead them.'
Mr Chia, who is the secretary-general of opposition political party, the National Solidarity Party, will meet party officials on Monday to discuss the matter.

Unless he did a crime chargeable by law, else his NCMP will retain.Originally posted by wuming78:wow. he has had extra marital affairs, and hence his estranged wife decided to go to the police.
well well.. there goes his moral high grd. he can kiss his political career goodbye i guess, even if he gets to keep his NCMP post.
next time all his party's member has to be single and vow celibacy. hahaOriginally posted by sgboy2004:The wife actually reported to police on 30 Nov 2003 that his hubby (steve chia) molested the maid. It was only the next day that she discovered the digital photo in the PC.
I think his political career is gone liao.
He is going to meet his party to talk abt this matter 2morrow.
yes he may retain his seat. but he has effectively lost his political career, cos ppl r going to c him differently now. this is not the US, where ppl can get by wif a bj and still be a popular president.Originally posted by sgboy2004:Unless he did a crime chargeable by law, else his NCMP will retain.

highly likely. this way he can show he wants to be responsible for his wrongdoings. and tt way, he is more likely to be able to make a come back in future!Originally posted by sgboy2004:i agree. I think he will resign from his NCMP post.
come back in future...nah, i dun think so. The PAP will mock him fiercely in the elections on his integrity.Originally posted by wuming78:highly likely. this way he can show he wants to be responsible for his wrongdoings. and tt way, he is more likely to be able to make a come back in future!

there goes a fine opposition politician!![]()
Guess that he will be branded in future with the likes of Chee Soon Juan instead of people like Chiam See Tong. I mean when was the last time u saw a member of parliament baring half of his ass on the Straits Times...
>>> HEY HEY HEY: I don't think it is so much their flaws but rather having the media to expound on these flaws. So far the last time I check the SPH and the other Media in Singapore, we have the PAP-related people in them as Chairmans and board of directors.
[size=large]So before you myopic Singaporeans jump into conclusion- study the environment and what you read carefully before passing judgement. Nevermind I would not blame you because Singaporeans are programmed by the PAP for the last 43 years. What to do? Worst of all - you guys refused to come out of the dark! Nationalism? PAPism? PAP has already abandoned the people's interest. Since when they have cared for Singaporeans?
size]I dunno how the PAP is gonna take this..There goes his reputation and his seat in the parliament...He can effectively call his political carrer to an end...coz in Singapore..there is no place for comeback kids like Bill Clinton..Sorry to say that [/b]
