Need Help On Akagi, Wat Car is best, how 2 do turns good?

Hey all,
I need Help on Akagi in Ver. 2, how do i do the turns well?(without a lot of wall contact) especially the first 1, when i get to it i'm at 150k's, do i fully brake and shift up then turn?. After the first part i can do the last hairpins pretty well, i can get thru them without wall contact, i just need help on teh rest, wat style i shud do. Like brake then upshift and turn or just power thru without ne brakes? I hav an Evo VII option C fully tuned, and i just got a dc2 option d, (cos ppl say they fast) I can only do 2:30 atm usin my evo during a battle, so i think a few secs faster on time attack mode. Can sum1 give me sum pointers on the hairpins and the first turn plz.

i'm a bit of an akagi spec so i'll try to help you out...i run 2'27 with my R34 (top time for R34 in the world is 2'25 high)..for the first turn..you can find my explaination in here... http://www.sgforums.com/?action=thread_display&thread_id=72088 .... for most of the turns, letting go accel or light braking is the style..never heavy braking..except for the V turn, the steep right turn..oh yeah and the best car for akagi down is the S14Q's, believe it or not..Originally posted by 51MPL^:Hey all,

Thanks for help but just 1 question, on the first turn (down) i'm at 150+ b4 the corner so do i heavy brake and shift up to 4th or 3rd and turn ?

I dunno if it's called Akina or Akagi, but it's got the 5 hairpins near the end and it's got UH and DH... i use a 4WD , so any1 got tips?

Do i brake the whole way thru the first corner? or just the start b4 i downshift, then accel rite after i brake.. for the rest of the turns i just turn rite? no downshifting?

I won't say which car is good for Akagi because actually different cars excel at different turns in Akagi. I use WRX and for Akagi DH the last 5 turns, the first 4 you can go at 138. the last one before the finish line can go at 145. I don't know why but I think these turns, use 4WD is easier. But the first turn at Akagi DH is a nightmare. This one no choice for 4WD, must brake quite hard to reduce the speed as 4WD turning radius very big and going into this turn at a high speed is asking for trouble.
As for when to downshift or accelerate, experiment because this 2 things depend on your steering. -
S14 Q's is the fastest on akagi..no if and buts..no other car has got 2.21..

dont u think that akagi turn is similar to the turn on akina after the 1st hairpin? a right followed by a sharp left.... hmm... mayb i can try same technique.... never thought of that....

for akina, i just feint on that part. mayb i try feinting faster. coz in akagi, the left turn arrives a lot faster after the turn, gamabatte ikimasu yo.

HeYa ppl, haven't been on forums for ages... Dam u stoopid education, jks..
so hira, wats a good car/s with good handling, accel, and all that for ver.2, i hav the evo vii, dc2 with abot 70k points, and a rx7 that i didn't even noe i had, i'm goin between the wrx sti cgv8 or sumthin, rx-7 fd3s, or r32 gtr? which shud i get? i wanna start playin again and get new card... wanna get back to top 10.. i'm planning to do downhill most da time and occasionally uphill -
For version 2, it's dc2...that's why it is boring, coz almost everyone is using a dc2....for version 3, it's more varied...well got a lot of WRX's and Evos, but at least it corresponds to real-life ability more..in version 2, there's so many cars for nothing...

what u need to do is with a 5 gear car like the (trueno or rx-7) stay in 4th gear, but for 6 gear cars like the(R-34 or S2000) stay in 5th gear...and as u come near the turn, turn slightly to the right befor the turn until u touch the wall, hold brake for a split second, turn in and then hit the gas pedal. for ver. 2 u should be going about 130kmh for some cars, but for the rx-7 and dc2 both these two cars should be able to hit 140kmh. but for ver. 3 don't know yet sorry.Originally posted by 51MPL^:Thanks for help but just 1 question, on the first turn (down) i'm at 150+ b4 the corner so do i heavy brake and shift up to 4th or 3rd and turn ? -
i need more pratice on akagi dh, i can do like 2:30 ish... with my evo, so shud i stick it out with evo until there's a ver.3 machine? or use the dc2

btw version 3 times are different from version 2, with the slower speeds and all that...there's no such thing as below 2'20 on akagi or below 2'50 on akina nowadays.. -
thanx for da tips, i'll work on the evo VII then, see if i can finish story mode... yeah, we don't hav ver.3 machines yet, arcade i go to bought another 2 machines not long ago, so there's 4 now...

hey, is it good to downshift on every turn on akagi?.. like the hairpin turns bout half way thru the track, like i'm normally in 4th gear.. do i shift down to 3rd for the turn then once i'm out if it shift up to 4th again?
