SAR 21 exports

Hey guys!
i'm doing a project at the moment and i've hit a dead end on our sar 21 exports to countries at the moment.
Ive only read that our sar 21 has been sold to brunei but how is the proceedures like?
like how do they transport such cargo and which other countries do we export our rifles to?
very little information is avaiable on the net and i really hope our brothers here are able to shed some light on it

Limited army use in Thailand (even this I am not sure, their standard rifles are M16A1/2 and Tavor. SAR 21 could just have been borrowed during exercises), limited Indonesian units (they use own local products), and one police department in the US.
Our previous SAR80 and SR88 were also exported- like shit to use. Export history is available on google or wikipedia.

im looking at a senario where we are exporting our SAR21 to mexico for military and civilian use..
kinda hard to formulate the whole marketing strat without any availble infomation on export law on the SAR21..
was thinking of smoking my lecturer but then i wanna remain true to it and make it right

Since you said you "only read that our sar 21 has been sold to brunei"...
Anyway when you don't have a good product to sell, you have to smoke!

well... our sar 21 has been going around the world. its in service in many countries, here are some pics.
and dont believe alize, if special forces and countries at war has been using sar-21, it definitely cannot be a bad product.
and to top it off, its noted as the best BULLPUP rifle in the world by POPULAR MECHANIC.

I see a bunch of poor countries you posted: Peru, Sri Lanka, Morocco and Indonesia.
And wow, your last pic comes from My Paper and a "very famous firearms magazine".

My Paper merely reprint from POPULAR MECHANIC magazine, so unless you are trying to claim that you are a well known professional arms expert and thus more authoritative than POPULAR MECHANIC, yours is nothing more then a personal unprofessional opinion.
at least people stick their magazine reputation on it, you OTOH got what? how many articles have you published?
secondly, being poor does not mean they will make bad choices.... though they will probably be limited in their options given their financial limitation, but such limitation at times could also force them to be hard discerning customers. (especially if your country is in a conflict)
but guess what... rifles aint that expensive, just check their military equipment listings, and viola!!! other then SAR-21, you will find that your so called "poor countries" can easily afford some of the more well known weapons too... like M-4, M-16, AK series and others like FN SCAR, F2000 as well.

It's harder to make inroads into developed countries with their own local arms developers, hence it's not surprising you don't see the US army or something like that using the SAR-21 en masse.
For an oversaturated small arms market, the SAR-21 is a pretty decent performer, nothing to shout about but nothing to scoff at as well. If you want to hazard a guess what earns STK the most money, I'd suspect it is their export of 40mm ammunition.
Anyway it's about time for an upgrade of sorts for the SAR-21. Seems to me the majority of us are still using the first few marks when STK has already made significant improvements to the design, but I am guessing the SAF sees no need to spend a lot to improve on what they deem to be "good enough". Ironically this means other countries could be using more updated versions of the rifle. -
The SAR-21 is decent in that some fundamentals are there (ie it cycles reliably, is short, durable and low maintenance) but other fundamentals are left out (balance, shape, weight, trigger & selector and the LAD concept). From a manufacturer of 2 previous service rifles customized for one dominant customer, more should be expected of a service rifle that will serve the next 20 years.
As for My Paper, it's no surprise SPH chose Popular Mechanics. What about the rankings in which the SAR-21 is not in the top 10?
Simply for the reasons in the above post.
At least pick a source that specializes in firearms or even sundry military equipment. This ranking is like the "Top 10" programs on Discovery Channel, some of them feature even Bushmaster M-4 clones and various "PDW"s that will never be adopted by any military.

have you ever handles a SAR-21 before? i doubt anyone who has handle a SAR-21 would dare claim that it lacks balance.
and find me a perfect weapon before you call SAR-21 "not a good product".

It's average for an AR, and Trip, they were trying to point out these "Best XYZ" lists often have very strange biases, which I notice too. And yes, I claim it lacks balance. It's slightly front heavy. Try holding it one handed for a while and you'll find it starts tilting forward.
