first spore aircraft carrier, first submarine, first stealth plane maybe?
Why stop there?
1st ICBM!
1st half megaton citykiller nuke!
1st Orbital Ion Cannon!
Sheesh...
Answer to the topic question: When the F-35 FINALLY gets off the testing stage and into production.
how much those stealth plane costs? $1billion per plane?
No 1 trillion. Singapore is going to get 3.
Quit picking nonsense figures from the air and go wiki it. Do I look like
a) Your mom?
or
b) Your primary school teacher?
I like c) The guy who's going to love taking an axe to your head.
Actually, Singapore already got Stealth plane, stealth boat, stealth body armor, but they are so stealthy until today, nobody even know their existance... undetectable... ok i just joking, dun take me so serious...

I billion X 3 = 3 billion not 1 thrillion ar
Pay in rupiah lah. 1 trillion = ~US$114m.
F35...................S'pore on same status with Israel when it comes to this plane..............
i wonder why.......................
could it becoz S'pore is another close Zionist kaki.........................
No lah. How many jewish casinos have you seen in Singapore? 1 Las Vegan, 1 Malaysian.
Singapore where got same status as Israel on the plane. US give Israel US$3billion a year to buy the US$2b worth of F-35.
In Singapore, we need to get sailors from US warships to play at SG casinos...
same priority status............higher than UK even i think.................
Yeah we are such a Zionist state Lee Kwan Yew's real name is Lepowski Krahew.
Zionist this zionist that. Is the only thing you can think of is how big your e-peen is compared to Jews? You have a very small world.
And yeah, China is an offshoot of the Zionist Empire. Right...
Read other stuff other than that Iranian crap will you?
They started material research Lab.
i don't think they will start stealth plane or stealth vessel as the technology is out there even the chinese can get it...... I think they will start with invisible SAF soldiers.
Don't you know? When there is work to be done, ALL SAF soldiers gain stealth and invisibility and need to be detected with smoke and yellow boxes. :P
There are only a few production stealth planes, F-22, F-35 and the trusty F-117. Though some may argue F-35 is LO, not stealth
It is cheaper and easier to get a LO plane like F-15SE or F-18(?). These planes uses materials at selected places and CFT to hide stores. It will not be completely invisible but good enough at long range.
Do you know that the B-2 spends most its time in the hangar? The maintenance of the joints and panels is an interesting experience.
in the mean time, since we have the F15SG, just convert some of those we bought to F15SE (Silent Eagle variant) - Internal Ammunitions storage - Frontal steath
LO is the correct designation for these aircraft. F22 to F35.
"Stealth" is a marketing gimmick. Even the F-22 can be detected on radar... if you get in within 8 miles and are still alive. By then, you should be able to eyeball it. =D
Any LO aircraft can be detected on radar if you get close enough. The problem is how close and whether you are still alive by then.
When Sg does, Malaysia will protest

Agree its a question of the potential opponents. If all one is going to face are Suks, then cost could be a prohibiting factor for LO ftrs. Considering the increasing range of missiles, might not be an issue.
However, in the context of the region with everyone (China, India, Japan etc) developing their own LO a/c, it would make future fighter choices moot for rsaf.

The F-35s are already facing production and costs problems. So best to stick to new half-stealthy aircraft like Malaysia is doing with its Su-30s

The F-15s don't come cheap either. AESA radar, JHMCS, latest EW + missiles + munitions.
Old chinese saying. 1 cent money, 1 cent product.
The Suks are non-stealthy aircraft rather than half stealthy (unless you mean you don't see them in the air half as often as they are only half as reliable).

The Su-30s are just as modern--the 15 is a bloody old aircraft. SG shouldnt have bought it.
I think it won't be easy to steal from Malaysia anymore.
