If China & Japan goes to war, who win this time?

I am sure Japan wont have it easy like in the world war 2, when it invaded China.
If the 2 were to go to war again, what are the odds of Japan doing the same again, like in WW2? I reckoned both will be evenly matched, with Japan maybe technologically superior than the chinese in terms of hardware.

Japan will lose. China even got æ¼20 stealth fighter .

We dun even need to talk army. japan has too big a budget deficit to afford a war. she will go bankrupt even before chinese troops hit the beaches.

That's why it's better for U.S troops to rot in Afghanistan.
If they leave Afghanistan and recover, after a while the itch to attack and bomb will appear again.

do not be surprised with the unexpected....japan has been known for their high honour and ego....kamikaze was the cruellest weapon they used to achieve the impossible....
though modern times see the decline of such self sacrifices for their emperor...(in fact a lot of younger generations do not like the royal family)....
their technological innovations still rank in the top lists .... whatever the case, China should not be bloated with their new super power status...

Depends on the objective of the war. If it is for land seizure, whoever who invades will lose. Neither Japan nor China have the capability to project force in sufficient mass. China is by geographical virtue, huge. Capturing it will be next to impossible. Japan's military is very defensive and possess home ground advantage quite literally. So the Chinese will take a beating if they try to invade.
If the object of the war is just to blow each other up, China will lose. The Chinese may have nukes, but the Japanese have the U.S.-Japan Alliance. That means, anti-ballistic missile capabilities AND American nukes.
J-20 can suck balls unless its nuke proof.

China is a vast area which the chinese have problem managing. the only time anybody from China tried to invade Japan was during the Yuan Dynasty, the mongolian, but their ships never hit the shore of Japan.
Japan is a group of islands full of volcanos, 80% is unsuitable for agriculture or residence. It is always the fear of the Japanese that their islands would sink when their volcanos erupt and tsunamis( a jp word!!) occur. That is why they colonized the 3 provinces in north east China, tried to conquer the whole China, but was never successful in conquering China even at the peak of their power. So land seizure for China is waste of time and for Japan is impossible.
If they decide to blow each other up, it does not take much to blow up Japan. one nuke each on the 4 main islands of Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu is enough to send at least half of their 128 million population on boats to America. What would America do, nuke China???
How would the ethnic chinese in america react if america nuke china because of japan?? if the yankee can't handle the muslim suicide bombers, can they handle the Chinese there? they can only suck eggs unless they are bullet proof or bomb blast proof.
War today is no longer a fight in the colosseum between the gladiators, politics, history, culture...have significant influence.

winning the war is not just a matter of brute force....but with all the right and conducive strategic conditions ..... victory may sometimes favour the seemingly weaker side...as have shown in the history of war....alliances are usually an important driver towards victory......
reminiscence of the war of Chi Bi..i enjoyed the movie..when Wu and Shu Kingdom join forces against the huge strong army of Cao.....the legendary Prime Minister Zhuge Kong Ming and the great Zhou Yu....combined brilliant strategies, innovative weaponry and valour.....the mighty Cao Cao lost the war and almost died...

aiya, what if China gives early warning, at least all the tourists and aliens will leave, and the japanese also, leave only the US troops and ships behind, then may he the chinese will think twice.

simply have all Japanese companies stop making products from Chinese factories will see China collapse as tens of millions of workers become jobless..........
the PLA will be too busy putting down widespread uprisings and revolts..........

The thing you all need to consider is the size of the country... Bigger size may actually be a disadvantage when it comes to war because your troops are scattered and the numbers become lower... But seriously lah, in a war, nobody wins... Families are scattered apart, people are killed and tortured, I don't have the heart to hurt anyone also even if say we are asked to invade Malaysia, I also don't want to hurt those Malaysians... I mean all human beings, why want to inflict pain and suffering on another human being...
