Hi,
Any ideas on the Pay of SAF officer?
From CPT to COL,
Feel free to post. cause thinking of Signing on
huh? it is stated in the mindef website in black and white
just to share with you...
regulars' basic pay is very very low..
the rank or basic pay for a 1SG is like only 1600? then they add this and that to make it 2.5k like tt
of course, your educational level plays a big part, and sadly, also your angkat bola skills
the pay is far too high.............that's why the population facing so much taxes from govt................
why pay so much for so many people that are doing basically nothing constructive ?
from what i see the starting pay of regulars have dropped for later newcomers during these few years.
So, which is better?
Sign on and upgrade to become a officers?
Or ROD and get the hell out of the ns?
Originally posted by Acidshuriken:remember that saf has short shelf life. so-called high pay means nothing if you have to leave by 45 i think for officers, assuming one wants to go for it as a long term career
now raise the leaving age already, 50 for officers and 60 for specialist/warrants.
Signing on to me is like, no road to go, so go the easy way out.
When sign on, they do have lots of benefits right?
Pension, housing, cars, etc...??
what about the "golden" hand shake via so-so yearly appraisal thing?
what pension???wad cars???housing???
I dont know, I heard sign on officer many many goodies...and also can taken pple to.
If you want to tekan people, then should sign on as specialist/warrant officer, not officer. Officers still get tekan by RSMs one.
