SAF is using a new sniper rifle APR308?

  I was reading up on .338 Lapua when I came across this.

  Brugger & Thomet (B+T) APR 308 sniper rifle was born in 2003 as a further evolution of the French PGM rifle. Brugger & Thomet company was a long-time distributor of PGM rifles, and in 2003 competed in a tender to sell the French Made but Swiss modified rifle to Singaporean army, which at the time sought a new 7.62x51 precision weapon. After some confusing communication over who had the rights to sell the rifle, Brugger & Thomet company decided to improve and to produce the rifle in fully Switzerland. The Brugger & Thomet (B+T) APR 308 sniper rifle was first presented to the public at 2005 MILIPOL exhibition, and is now adopted as a standard sniper rifle by the Army of Singapore..

  Yes, it is probably replacing the SSG69 Steyr.

  Well! its about time we chnage out from the Steyr SSG-69, there are more better platform out there,

  Was wondering why we still stay with the 7.62x51 and not somthing like the 300 win mag or the 338 Lapua. defeintly gives the edge in longer distances!

  Dave, For medium range, SAF uses 7.62. Long range is .338 Lapua with the Mini Hecate. Now that is a really sweet rifle.

  That time when i was in SIW for sharpshooter trainning... we got to see n touch the mini hecate.. there's a few in the armskote.. then when we were shooting the ssg in the field, dsta was oso testing the mini hecate.. but frm wad i heard, the weapon is pretty fragile..

  3 ways to excuse firearms, PES E, second excuse firearms, third get L9 as ur landcode.

  My frenz C1L3 but with excuse firearms.

  
  Landcode L9 cant handle firearms C9L9 cant shoot lastime.  My frenz din shoot due to C9 L9. he dun have excuse firearms. He skin illness.

  I PES E9L9. so i din shoot. I pes E due to some medical conditions. I dowan to disclose.

  Once u PES E ur unit range or handle firearms ur unit gt ask u go and shoot or handle arms? of cuz permanently excused.
