  What is double barrel howitzer?

  Ong Meng Hua Patrick, Director Regional Marketing of the ST Kinetics  said

  “At present our light weight assault rifle is under going trial rounds. We are happy and able to supply to the Indian Armed forces in the near future. We have 42 years of experience in engineering and defence products,” he said on Thursday on the sidelines of the DEFEXPO 2010 held in New Delhi.

  “Indian Army is a very good customer for howitzers and we are more competent than other people in the market. We have a 155 mm double barrel howitzer, and we are first in the world to produce it,” said Patrick.( Ong Meng Hua Patrick, Director Regional Marketing of the ST Kinetics.)

  Double barrel howitzer could means a 155mm gun system with 2 barrels, something like the AMOS , a double barrel 120mm mortar system

  if they come up with a multi-barrel howitzer that can fire as fast as a machine gun, i'll say that's something lah..............

  howitzers are use mainly for stagnant warfare. it does not support mobility warfare. that why i am not surprise indians are interested. mainly for firepower more than accuracy against a equivalent less mobile army. i am impress by the 155mm guns. powerful indeed!!

  155 guns are scary... the mere vibrations being near it when its fired is enough to shock anyone who never saw a gun fired live rounds before, but the effect on the receiving end is worse, saw the whole area come under bombardment before, even from far its scary. Useful for Indian Army though, especially in Kashmir area where terrain can help conceal or even have preset arty locations, dialed down to specific concentrations.. sure to give any invading force trouble
