U wonty believe that SG can make this Batman UAV!Do U?
Has you seen any UAV without a rudder?
Now you can see it at Popular Mechanics magazine!
The UAV designed by Popular Mechanics looks like the one unveiled by
Singapore
few years ago, called MAV-Multirole Autonomous Vehicle.
more info here.
shape has to be improved.....and every part must be aerodynamically shaped..along with most of its structure.
engine of 100pounds is way too low even for an experimental high performance test dummy .a more powerful engine should be made and incorporated as soon as possible.u ncant do much with 100lbs thrust......
it looks like a toy....i built 18 years ago in my room.too bad the above designers and the whole lot dont have much of a knack in engineering and modern technology....or a lack of spirit from a first glance at the whole prototype.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Below are how a real all 100% effort test vehicle should look like:
wait a minute,,,,,if that uav was made outa composites...then how come does it look like it was cut outa sheet metal and welded together without much curves ,aerodynamics and curves??it is a waste of composites!!they might as well have went to defu lane and used cardboard to build it instead.
is that the best in ST aero??who designed and made that uav???did a bunch of night cleaners werkin there piece it together from scrap sheetmetal??
too little practical and unimaginative people werking in ST aero.they sound like they arent into the job or engineering in the first place.must be HR getting whom they suspect to be good according to their impractical methods.
after so many years with so many engineers, doctors, designers, technicians and materials used .............they should have been able to design software for that uav to fly and think for itself using analogue and digital signals by now.
rightfully they should have done the software as the hardware itself looks like there was no effort placed into it. so the software inside the uav by right should not be a remote only platform but rather a machine that would be able to make decisions for itself without much human intervention.
for sales to commercial...ST aero can forget it...china already produces cost effective uav.
<<<<should never have been designed as a tube with a cone but rather a triangle as below as the above does nothing to improve anything but rather cause more engineering difficulties and cost factors.why make a tube with a cone in the first place????
what these guys think of uav that dont sell>>>>
