Intelligence Online, a Paris-based online magazine covering intelligence and security issues published in English on a bimonthly basis, claims in its issue of March 2010 that Singapore helped finance the Iron Dome missile defence system.

Singapore help provide assistance, expertise, corroboration, most likely. And not for nothing. Singapore will definitely milk them to the max.
As for finance, Isreal have the US of A unlimited.
Could it be that Singapore banks were used, by the Isrealis for fund transfers for the project? They don't have much friends, you know.

How many missiles or radars have Singapore actually produced such that we are in a position to provide assistance?
The stereotype is that jews lend, not borrow.
Even their MOD has already denied Singapore involvement.
As to bank fund transfer, that's crap I would expect from the SDP.
Why would US use a bank in a country known to co-operate with israel when there are like a hundred other countries where shelf front companies can do the job at much lower profile? lol.

I hear a former Mossad chief published a memoir in Hebrew recently, and in that memoir, he mentioned India and some other small country helped finance a considerable portion of Israeli R&D.........
And oh by the way, we do have a use for this system. The SAF is quite wary of the Msian MLRS.

You under estimate our DSO capability in R&D.
There is no smoke without fire, so there must be something that is construed as financing the Isreali project.

I think rather, one shouldn't overestimate Singapore as a whole. We have no established industrial infrastructure, and within DSTA and DSO, ST has a "sucks monkey balls" reputation. We compare poorly with the Israelis when it comes to a lot of things. Some bright sparks sure, but we can't even manufacture our own armor. Instead we buy them from the Germans and apply them to our IFVs etc. -
Well we have a need for missile defense system , and isreal have something they are building that suit us.
Iook at the JSF and A400 as example - nowaday a lot of expensive defence system - they start getting customers to place orders to help cover the development cost .

A400 is so bloody expensive, we could buy a C-17 with that money.

No, I don't underestimate DSO cos its totally irrelevant. The article is not claiming DSO involvement. Its claiming financing.I think however, that people are under-estimating Israel's capability to develop this on their own or over-estimating Singapore's interest in this system.
Denial may be routine but should we believe smoke (article) rather than fact (denial) esp when additionally to the above reasons like cost-effectiveness...
(a) The iron dome hasn't even been procured;
(b) There hasn't even been official interest.
The claim includes that Singapore will get a system. I'll wait and see but I'm not holding my breath.

I agree. And unofficially, certain top level people in mindef/saf have indicated that soft-kill defenses are no longer as effective and that hard-kill options are inevitable. There are options beyond iron dome.Both JSF and A400 are examples of cost-overruns. I agree with D-R in his previous post reg A-400.
