The Indonesian Navy would be hosting the biennial “Naval Defence
Indonesia 2009” in Surabaya, Indonesia from the 12-14 November 2009 and we would like to invite interested visitors to register in advance.
This biennial event boasts of international exhibitors from India,
Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Sweden, US, UK and Germany and
provides a fantastic opportunity for exhibitors to meet up with key
decision makers and buyers from the Indonesian Ministry of Defence and
the Indonesian Navy.
Some of the highlights of this event include the following:
a) A conference hosted by the Indonesian Navy.
b) An interactive “Naval Networking Nite” onboard an Indonesian warship. A concept unseen in South East Asia’s defence shows.
c) Visit to the Indonesian Navy’s (TNI) naval base in Surabaya.
d) Visit to the Indonesian Naval Museum.
e) Indonesian warships showcase with direct access from the
exhibition centre via motorized boats provided by the Indonesian Navy.

These ships are able to replenish two warships simultaneously, one on each side. They are also fitted with a large flight deck which is served by a stores lift. This is used when helicopters are employed as flying cranes, ferrying supplies from ship to ship by air, and is used to speed up the replenishment process or in cases when a ship needs supplies but not fuel.
