I found out that there is one.
She is the first woman Regimental Sergeant Major, 1WO Jennifer Tan Siang Lang.
She is responsible for maintaining discipline in the battlalion as well as a leader the men can turn to for advice and support.
Will like to know if there are anymore capable females in the army.
Meet FI....the SgfAF RSM.
1wo Jennifer is a poster girl . she was one of those with good PR.
how can some one with a long tour as chief clerk suddently become RSM .
must be joking . dont believe everything you read .
I am a NSman from a RSAF unit.
During one of my ICT, my unit was taking IPPT with some 'active' personnel. There was one lady who looked very fit and quite pretty. wearing tank top. a bit tan, long and slim limbs but short hair. looked like those young marathoner looking. look very young at the most mid 20s but she looked like early 20s can pass off as undergrad.
Asked around and found out that she is a CPT!
anyway, at the static stations a lot of noise as us NSmen were chatting away while waiting for our turn and jeering/cheering each other....
but when the lady CPT stepped up to the standing board jump station, the entire training shed fall silent as everyone just looked at her....
and when she jumped, it was pretty long.. i think like 2.4m or something.... the entire training shed went "Whhhhhooooooaaaaaaa!"
quite funny actually....
i think not easy to be women in the armed forces, esp officers. so much pressure.... and visibility....
