Wednesdays at our shooting club are designated "AR Nights" and members are encouraged to bring their AR pattern rifles (in addition to whatever other rifles they want) to the range for an evening of controlled mayhem.
A couple of friends and I headed to the range with our rifles for "AR Night" yesterday, but for whatever reason, we ended up being the only shooters there. No complaints, though--at least we had the whole range to ourselves.
Some pictures I took of our range outing:

Yup, I'm in the US.
The only thing I've heard about the SAR21 is that it had been evaluated by one of the "special response" units of major US city's police force a few years ago. Don't recall the outcome of that evaluation.
Nothing about the Ultimax. Some of the other regulars here might know more about this, though.
Regards!

Thanks! I took those pictures with an ordinary Canon PowerShot S3 IS digital camera.

Big difference here: AR owners tend to baby their guns since they've probably sunk a bit of cash into them. Most of the time, we bring them to the range, shoot them, then bring them home for a proper cleaning. The guns might be subject to some abuse if they're brought hunting, but nowhere near the manhandling of a weapon in military use.
