Hi.... do anyone knows when the next SAF Open House would be held
I remember it's most after SAF day.... but since being out of the Navy for more than 10yrs.... can't remember when the Open House is held.Anyone can help. Thxs

the last one was at sispec @ 2007.

TV commercials 23 aug last nite says AOH fr the following days.
This is defferent previous AOH which open to public for only 2 days.

Last time, during the late 80's and early 90's, the Navy occcassionally berth their ships off World Trade Center just beside the bridge leading to Sentosa. Remembered seeing a LST and a MGB there. Not too sure if any MCVs were displayed there. Missed those small displays. Nowadays can only see our ships after tediously finding our way to Changi Naval Base during the Navy Open House once every couple of years. If one day they just berth a frigate beside Vivocity....Wow!!!

if u want to shoot LIVE ammo of SAR 21---
1.u have to wear shoe or boot.No sandals.Buy one repair of New Balance running shoe at abt $45 from the Army store at the Fun World where u can also buy foods and drinks and take a break in air cond!!The store is open to public.Cash only or NS Card.No NETS.
2.Go to Shooting Gallery direct.DO not mix up with Live Firing Safari.The latter is a ride--not live round firing by U!!

3.Plan your route and set your priority.Bring umbrella and sun glass/hats.
4.The ferry bus from Boon lay may waste time.u should Consider walk fr Joon Koon MRT if there is no kids or old grand/parents.u can control the time.
u can walk to tail of MRT and walk towards north along Beoni Rd to Upper Jurong Rd .
turn left to bus stop of 182 and 193 B12.Just get alight at next bus B14 stop.Walk towards north along footpath under the PIE and follow the sign boards.
or just walk to PL Camp fr MRT.
Walking is better than waiting for ferry bus at Boon Lay.

I took SBS Sv 182 there (non aircon bus ride). It's better cos the shuttle bus was hardly w/ anyone hence likely gotta wait for a long time before it would move off
