An analysis was conducted by the CBO suggesting various alternatives for USAF force structure. It has interesting facts on mission profiles of various a/c that may enter RSAF inventory.

Blogpost from Aviation week (Graham Warwick) on the subject.
What the report doesn't say
(a) F-35A will not be able to carry 2000lb LGBs internally (ie only 2000lb JDAMs and Mk-84s).
(b) 2000lbs munitions usage are significantly less than 500-1000 lbs use (<7.5% of total munitions use in Desert Storm was 2000lbs munitions. Of that ~33% were 2000lb LGBs.)
(c) SDBs may replicate some 2000lb munition missions (almost same penetration capabilities).
Conclusion
If similar study conducted for RSAF, it is likely that RSAF, like the USAF, will likely have significantly greater combat effectiveness when the F-35 is introduced. F-15SG has better large munition delivery rates vs F-35. Any variant of F-35 will be better than the legacy aircraft it replaces eg F-5 and F-16C/Ds.
It would be, however, interesting to see how armed UAVs eg MQ-1/5/9s can impact SG's force structure.

F 35 is a non combat tested platform.F 15 has been tested for many many times.
It won all the times.New platform comes with hidden risks which we may only know
when we use it.
Let other people try it first.I dunt mind pple saying we just flying Legacy F 15.
It is just damn suitable for this tiny and poor country.
SG cant afford to use billions dollars F 35.Thank you.
