Singapore as a small little nation, should and must have the nuclear ability to strike back at any nation who want to try funny stuff at us.Anyone agree?
yeah, sure, compete with korea to be a nuclear weapon nation, smart move...
is lionnoisy screwing around with fake accounts again ?
This is a thread totally appropriate for slim 10.
Have a nuke missile to blow u up.
Why go to such extremes mate Only Way 4 Destiny?
Just stick a firecracker up his arse and light it.
and where should we store this missle?
your storeroom?
Under pedra branca....

The right question to ask is if Singapore should have ABM capability like PAC-3, Arrow etc. MEADS is another 10 years off.
SM series is a Naval platform. Highly unlikely we are going to build a series of ships around AEGIS.
wow, well done
then put the facility at where?
petra branca?

It might interest readers that when Boeing constructed the SBX radar for ABM detection, SG firm Keppel-Amfels participated in the modification of the platform.
Read also TCH's comments regarding SG ABM capability, reported 2006...

And shoot at who? Have you considered the nuclear fallout effects that will affect the region?

Even if it is feasible to contain the fallout (which it isn't) or beneficial to own nukes (which it isn't), SG (then PM Goh) has already signed the treaty on southeast asia nuclear weapon free zone (SEANWFZ) which is a key component of ZOPFAN. It commits SG to no-nuke weapons.

we just wait for US intervention if when something happens, since a lot of US assets, money, and their foreign investment in here for the asia pacific region...

Well whoever that is shooting at us. Most likely NK or gasp Chinese missiles.
Note any interception will be done at the near stratosphere. There will be no nuclear explosion. Any fallout will be just the radioactive elements of the warhead.
Chances of that having an adverse impact is quite low. The same goes for BioChemical warhead. That is why all the ABM missiles are huge :)

Why would random countries shoot missles at us again?
Yeah.
We might as well get a Ohio class to go with that?

can give an example of "any nation who want to try funny stuff at us"?
we should start allow singaporeans to have guns, like AK 47 or M16, to strike back at "any one who want to try funny stuff at us", like the loan shark money collector.....
Another silly thread
interesting. but who would fund it? our overstretched taxpayers? nuclear development is a huge and ostentatious endeavour. and would it be wise to alienate all our allies for the sake of some weapons that we could probably never use for fear of similar retaliation? or worse, a pre-emptive strike from our neighbours before development, throwing our state into total war? just look at north korea/isreal/iran/india/pakistan. see what only a few nuclear developmental projects did to de-stabalise the region.
i think a measured response would be better. and the money would go to better places. such as.. fridges in every bunk for every section. haha. good for morale! or higher pay for everyone in the army!
sorry. rambling.
if got
where to try the missle?
malaysia?
Nuclearisation in the form of energy security ie nuke power plants are however not out of the question.

So..... what does that have to do with a nuclear missile?
