  Singapore LST is now equipped with Typhoon Gun.

  This can enhance the defense of LST while they sail to fight pirates.

  This is funny when USV get Typhoon,LST dunt get!!

  This is a miracle that  RSN has been growing from 2 boats

  to naval launchers in ASW and AA close to Canada and Oz!!

  Oz & SG are very close in no. of naval missiles launchers

  Janes Fighting Ships say LST weapons including--

  1 x  OTO 76 mm/62 Super Rapid gun,120 rounds per min to 16 km,

  shell wt 6 kg.

  1 x 25 mm Bushmaster MG (can be fitted)

  5 x 12.7 MG.

  Uh, just wanted to highlight that the Endurance has been using 25mm typhoons since as early as 2004.

   

  Also, the stabilised gun onboard the protector USVs, though called mini-typhoons, are 7.62mm calibre only (MK49s Mod 0s).

  SAF has made many US, UK, Israeli companies happy.  So what  ?

  As pointed out by Slim10, the Typhoons have been used for some time & this was reported quite some time back.  Anyway  good to know that our  ships are well protected against all manner of threats.
