Can N Korea missile fly over Japan again?
Will Japan destroy the missiles only if it threaten Japan?

AFP - Friday, March 27
''TOKYO (AFP) - - Japan's leaders Friday authorised the shooting down of a North Korean rocket or its debris if it threatens to hit the country, said Defence Minister Yasukazu Hamada..........''
this never-ending stuff
Do u guys think its really just a satellite or is it really a potential missle used to start a war?
I personally thinks it really is just a satellite. They will need their own personal satellite to facilitate future conflicts. Sending a test/real missle is just courting it's own death.
But i would like to see N.Korea end though. Or at least put the leader out of control.
It does not matter as long as it is capable of carrying a sizable payload. The payload can be anything , weapon or satellite. The issue is that the test will validate ( or not ) if the missile can deliver its payload ballistically to its destination at the range intended & with the accuracy it is designed for.
I have doubts that North Korea can design a satellite that could somehow aid its warfighting capabilities, though. Even the Iranians could only put up a battery-powered box, and the DPRK collaborates with them over missile and military technology. If it is a satellite, I'm thinking it'll be a propaganda box. (besides, why would they risk losing a high-tech satellite in their first launch?)
Correction: the Omid has communications capability and Iran has launched a imaging satellite on a Russian rocket previously. Apologies for misrepresentation.
The Taepodong-2 missile has a limited reliability, though. It's never performed to expectations in a launch, so this launch is probably more for the propaganda value than a test or a satellite orbit attempt in my book.
it has been launched.u need not depend on western medais
just translate Japanses or korean news and translate.

Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Takeo Kawamura said even if the object launched was a satellite, it would violate UN resolutions on North Korean ballistic ..
Japan said it stopped monitoring the Taepodong-2 rocket after it had passed 2,100 km (1,305 miles) east of Tokyo, indicating the launch had been a success. In its only previous test flight, in July 2006, the rocket blew apart 40 seconds after launch.
South Korea's Yonhap news agency quoted a government official in Seoul as saying the rocket appeared to have carried a satellite, which Pyongyang had insisted was its plan.
seriously, all the superpowers should form a coalition force and invade n.korea.

if u have powers like NK,u have negotiation power.
@@@@@@@@@@@
Western medias did not tell u very clearly that Japan had not said
shoot down projectile passing Japan.
Japn said shoot down any falling debris or alike if the falling objects
threaten to Japan.ie if the projectile is an innocent passage, then
Japan will not take action, like Japan do today.
estimated route of projectile 3 March 2009

u can see the map showing the danger zones which are designated by NK!!
NK informed IMO the areas/route ,date and time frame of launch well in advance.
Crazy... I wouldn't allow a missle to fly over my country.
Crazy... I wouldn't allow a missle to fly over my country.
Thats why it is clearly a provocation on North Korea's part.
omega21 has a point why would u put a real satellite on rocket that is still under test. The real intention is to test the range of their missile.
I would like to see both Japan and SK threaten China to Arm themselved with Nuke.
