I dont know why, I usually take better pics of others. But others can never take better pics for me. This pic cannot even see the gun.
I've never fired a gun before =(
The only gun i fired is a .22 revolver.

*howl* I want!
Why not just tag along just to look see.
I remember SRA charges about $5/- just to look see, even if you are not shooting. But that was last time, not sure they still pactise that.
Or shoot in thailand, australia is the next best thing.
I should go check out in aussie...since i'll be there and there's a long time before sch starts =/
$5 just to look see !?!?!?! Wlau.
i wanna try this...

Think there was one time, they only allow 5 minutes to visitors to view the shooting. Which is kinda of a deterrent thingy.
But girlfriends & boyfriends & wives can look without the 5 minute limit and the paying of the $5/-

That a CZ 85 I see there?
Just a quick observation: that "hunched back" stance isn't really conducive to accuracy and timely follow-up shots as the rearward center of gravity makes your upper torso unstable and more susceptible to movement from the gun's recoil.
Regardless of the stance you use, your center of gravity should ideally be slightly forward of your body's vertical centerline such that you feel just a tad more weight on the forward foot.

$5 just to observe?? That's very... mercenary. Seems like the SRA isn't interested at all in promoting the shooting sports in Singapore.

Looks like a variant of the Beretta 92 to me. possibly a 92F? or a M9 even?
ah i stand corrected. It does appear to be a CZ85. Good spotting Meia

It's not as daunting as some people think it is to shoot, if the stance is correct.

"Plastic guns" is merely a colloquial reference to firearms that have major components made out of composite materials; the USP would fit that definition since its frame, as you've noted, is polymer.Out of the dozen-or-so polymer-framed pistols in my collection, the only one I would consider somewhat uncomfortable to hold is my Glock 34. It is a very accurate gun, but the blocky grip with its excessively raked angle requires me to adopt a different and somewhat unnatural hold when I shoot it.
The most comfortable and natural-pointing plastic gun in my collection is also the one I carry: the CZ 100.
truth be told, only the lower frame is made out of polymer... but i kinda know what u mean. still! its a mistake to say major componentS because its only 1 component! lol
But seriously, whatsup with u guys? Do you all have small hands or am i some big handed woman monster? I've never found the glock or the usp uncomfortable to hold. the one gun i found uncomfortable to hold was the AW 50 but then the bloody thing is as long as i am tall

Meia's spot-on with his input. Just to add a few 400D-specific points:
- Switching to A-DEP may do the trick of solving your DOF issues - the camera automatically selects the correct aperture size to get all points in focus.
- If you do go for manual setting of your aperture, don't crank your f-stop too high - F11 is just about the 400D's limit before you get diffraction (which can blur the image); your ideal range is 8-11.
Also, it looks like you used two flourescent tubes for lighting - that's a point source of light, and the shadow around the grip shows it. As Meia suggested, bounce the light to diffuse it. You can use a lightbox setup like this:
The light bouncing off the paper at the top of the box covers the whole area, but at the same time is too diffuse to get bright spots on your subject that can wash out detail.
Alternatively, if you have a flash that can be angled off (e.g. the 430EX), bounce the light off the walls or ceiling.
