Ooohhh... sweeeet! More images of it, please!
Wow, interesting colour.
thats more like it. although... 2 tone guns kinda divide my opinion... if its 2 tone the grip looks wrong with a wood look.
Well! I guess prefence of wood grips is a personal thing! I think they look good with the wood! again! thats just me! here are more pics for you Meia!
What suprise me are the parts COlt is giving on their new 1911! NOvark sights, match trigger group, hammer etc... good parts to work on! My 1911 gunsmith in OKC will probably work on it soon! another good thing is I got it at the old price! so! it is not over priced like any other guns!

looks real classic with alot of discrete modern features :)
problem with 1911 is there is too many variables and too many mfr out there ! some will do a good job and others don;t ! thus it is like a kit gun over here in the US! I have a springfield just like Meia! but only the slide and frame is Springfield and all parts have been customized ...
and it has parts of all shape and sizes! usually a out of box factory 1911 runs around $500 and up! and after all the custom work! each 1911 is usually cost about $1500 to $2000 !
we can always stay with a stock $500 but it will never run the way U want it ! and when you go the Custom route! you will never go back!
DaveC!
I dunno. you see, if the gun was all silver or all black the wood grips would go. somehow the woodgrips creates a disparity between the upper slide and the lower frame, because it makes the lower frame... like belong to it... for it to work the gun has to be monocolour. If I had a 2 tone like that, it would HAVE to have black grips with a little gold circular logo in the middle for a harmonous look. As things stand it looks like u've put together this gun from 2 seperate 1911s.
There, happy now?
(Obviously not mine, hor? )

that's from mattel ? ....
I dont know where to post it, so no choice post this question here in my volkka drunken state.
My errrm....holsters & tactical belts, was among the belongings in my luggage that had been soaked by a broken bottle of coffee liquer.
It still stinks of coffee, and I am not sure how it will fair in the washing machine and the dryer. I dont have a pail or a bath tub handy to soak them and hang to dry.
Any other ideas?

sorry sis, no ideas
how do you guys keep these pistols anyway?
In oil, wrapped in oiled clothes, in pistol holding holsters and bags, in the car compartments, in a safe, under a bed, under a pillow, at the wash stand, in the bedroom drawer, on the bedroom drawer, on the kitchen counter, in the kitchen drawer, at the back of the jeans, on a belt at the holsters......?
Or are you refering to having a gun in Singapore?
yes the 2nd one.
I hate to tell you this.
But most of the folks here speaking of pistols is not in Singapore.
If you go over to policeforce.sgforums you might find that some guys there shoot pistols in Singapore. One is organising a shooting event at CCK shooting range. Over there, is best learn how to keep a weapon in Sg.
Or you can contact Louis & Tina of Airsoft Asia for ipsc airsoft shooting.
oh.. so they from other countries posting in sgf.. quite ironic..
Not really, they are Singaporeans overseas.
And besides, I am singaporean, I live in Singapore. Just out of Singapore at the moment.
And I shot with Singapore folks, in normal shooting stuffs and ipsc stuffs.
So does that count we folks as ironic?

Head over to Wal*Mart and buy plastic a wash basin or pail (about $4, give or take). Fill it with warm water and add about half a measure of liquid laundry detergent. Put your coffee-stained tactical gear into the basin and let it soak overnight, then rinse and air-dry. Problem solved!

Ok ok ok!
I will soak my whatever you call it!
That now includes a army market canvas backpack that has recently got infused with the essence of coffee liquer.
Can I put them thru a dryer?
