I'm sure we know abt SAF's ties with the IDF (Israeli defence force). If you've noticed, the rsaf's f-16D+ is actually an f-16I sufa, (rumour has it that it was re-designated due to fears that it might offend certain islamic countries surrounding us). You can tell this by seeing the huge bulges on the side of the nose, which other viper variants, as far I know, do not have.
So, my question is this, does anyone know of anything visible on the f-15I ra'am, that distinguishes it from the US counterparts,,,,, it's known that's it's upgraded with israeli avionics, just want to know if there's anything visible, and maybe it might be seen on RSAF's coming F-15SG????
The F-15SG has AESA radar... I dont' think the F-15I has that....
But in terms of capabilities and mission types expected to perform, its identitical.
Our F-16s are more or less identical to the Israeli F-16s, but not the F-15. Our F-15SGs are more similar to the F-15K than the F-15I i think.
the airframe is different, but what they are supposed to do, is the same.
Ya F-15I Thunder has a different wing but internally our F-15SG might be similar like e SPS-3000 Elisra self-protection suite which is also fitted on our Blk 52+ F-16DJ & who know wat other system
