  I would like to share a pic of my stuff but you know what....  I disrupted from reservist many years ago. I went overseas to live and work. I spoke to my parents some time ago ... I wanted my Kevlar helmet and SBO back , as I wanted to show them to my son ( he was born overseas and hardly comes back to S'pore). My parents told me that all my no. 4 uniforms, boots , pack etc all became infested with mould and fungi because they were kept in a store room and not taken out to sun for many years ! They threw everything away.... luckily I demobbed a few years ago.

   

  But in addition to my standard issue SAF items I had the following:-

  • pocket radio ( in the early 90s --- no MP3 yet!)
  • swiss army knife ... the big one with the 4 inch blade. I reckoned that in a mobilisation there will be no time to sharpen bayonet or what, so that will be my last stand weapon - hahaha !  Anyway, it was better than the SAF utility knife
  • mobile phone
  • survival kit ..... sewing kit, matches, first aid, some medicines
  • canvas bag... the old school type.... very useful for maps and spare rations
  • spare spectacles
  • packet of baby wipes !
  • SAF issue scarf ( took this from the CQM during my NS days ) not standard issue to my reservist unit
