For all those keen in vintage aviation, here are my photos to share of my recent visit to Duxford airfield for the Flying Legends airshow.
The Spitfires came in low and fast
A formation of Hurricane, C-47 and Spitfire
Hawker Nimrods, carrier-based airplanes that flew during the inter-war years
The wing-walkers needed to meet for a chat while atop their Boeing Stearmans
In my opinion, this is the highlight of the airshow - an original 1909 Bleriot XI, although not the one that famously crossed the English Channel
A formation of Mustangs and a Flying Fortress
A Hispano Aviacion HA-1112 Buchon, a Spanish produced Bf-109
Piper Cubs, lots of American pilots learnt to fly in them
Flying Legends traditional show-ending Balbo formation flight. This is just part of it.
very beautiful photos u have there.
thank you for sharing lookahead.
Wow, Me109, Hurricanes and Spitfires and American P-51, plus Flying Fortress at a single airshow. WWII afficionado's dream come thru. Thanks for sharing.
