Qn: bmt got 9-5?

  I've heard somewhere that new recruits can work 9-5? Then some ppl say cannot? How is it possible to work 9-5, as in is it with medical condition, special postings or what other reasons that entitles one to such working hours?

  There is no such thing as 9 to 5 in the SAF lah. It is 8 to 530 or 9 to 630 both with a 1 hr lunch break and 2 15min tea breaks which are optional. Anyway in BMT yes if you are married you MIGHT be able to get stay out status meaning you book in 7am and leave at the end of the day when training ends which could be as late as 9pm.
