Already seen it in real life, some MI guys were wearing it. Pretty ugly imo, but I guess I'll need to see it in action. Wished the green was slightly darker though.

Black rifles really stand out when next to camouflage. Shud have rifles also be in pixelated camo for 100 % effect

hmm the camo looks working....but i reserve my judgement until i saw a hi res picture......
also pray to god that the japanese wont invade us again...because the color looks almost the same as japanese no 4..

With the proliferation of surveillance devices that can detect soldiers at night, the camouflage effect has to work at all times to avoid detection.
Thus, the new uniform material is treated with Near Infra-Red (NIR) capabilities. The pixelised design loses none of its efficacy when viewed through night-vision devices. In fact, it is more effective at night.
"It's hard to talk about a specific percentage since you get different results at different ranges and in different terrains, lighting and climatic conditions. But it's safe to say we're looking at a 30 to 50 per cent enhancement in the soldier's camouflage capability."

imagine if our rifles have pixelated camo and ur magazine drops off into some part of the forest.. Black color already take few hours to find a lost magazine, how long we have to take to find a pixelated camo magazine? 2 days?! LOL.. -

And that would be different from the current uniform how? There is a reason why Officers/WO ranks used to be on the shoulders and spec/men on and arms. The same reasoning can be used for now having Officer/WO rank on the chest and not the spec/men-- I'm not saying that I agree with the reasoning, or that the reasoning is good, but suffice to say that the reason exists.
Anyway, understand that the main purpose of removing the epaulets was to make it more comfortable for everybody to wear the LBV/Fieldpack/BPV.
**Is anybody here able to get pictures of our new Digital pattern next to both MARPAT and CADPAT? I'm wondering which pattern our new No.4 is closer to.
