Just make sure you still have your receipt cos you might have to pay GST if it's more than S$400. They will also make you fill in some simple forms. And you have to have a good reason to why you have that with you.
Just got these.. 2 more and I'll have the full set...

is it sharp?
Sold off 3 Spydercos just to get the titanium one... Liked it so much I bought another one just in case. They've been discontinued for a while and I had almost given up hope finding one. Saw 3 on sale for the same price they were selling for when they first came out. They're worth at least 50% more now... Friend of mine bought one and i swooped up the rest. Like all Kershaws these came shaving sharp. I'm now a few hundred dollars poorer and have one arm almost bald from testing.

Kukri is legal. Track back a few pages. The info are there. If not, refer to Singapore Post.
Hi Nehpyh
Thanks for the info. I bought a Cold Steel Recon I a while back from Sheares...Kind of regret buying it.
Now I want the Gerber LMFII Infantry.....but dried of blood already LOL
BTW, the one you showed in your post (the fixed blade one with the pic of the box), it is an awesome knife.

I hope this thread helps :)
Cold Steel Recon is not bad la, for the money...better than Ka-bar overall. Good to trash around with and not too much of a heart-pain....infact, I personally think it'll be better than Gerber! But that's my 5 cents worth la...
Why dun you like it?
We only have 2 hands and too many knives is quite kok...so if you ask me, Fallkniven A1 is a great 6.5" all-purpose. They are the 'in' knife now because of superior qaulity and no-nonsense design.
Leave all the wire cutting, spear-making, helicopter skin piercing, survival pouch to something else. A knife is meant to cut, hammer, and dig...that's all. When you are desperate, anything close works.
:)
At long last guys... I'm home!! (Finally found some people that loves sharp things... my GF thinks I'm wacked.. hahaa~)
Right, I own a few pieces, but my recent buy was a Cold Steel SRK (its almost a total knockoff of the Fallkniven A1 or was it F1).
BUt seriously, its excellent! Half the price, plenty of steel. It was a knife that I brought along to NZ during my holidays~ (Fixed blade fan)
Of course, I have a serious fetish for throwers, broke a few pieces over the years though...
Few came in last few weeks...
The collectors - Latest version of the Manix 2 CF by Spyderco, Sage 2 and an orange Military. Few more odds and ends too. Will post a few pics soon.
To beef up my EDC - added a Spyderco Goddard for something smaller than the Endura.
COol,
Lone, post some pics here please.
J21, you are whacked what! ;) Aren't we all are?!!! lol You mean girls buying bags, shoes, cosmetics, etc... are less whacked then us??? lol
Think Angel and FireIce also quite whacked...hehehehhehe....shhhh
Wa liao juz came back from oversea. Got a fixed blade survival knife but got detain in the airport. told them itz legal but the still bring it to cantoment. waste my time need to call and go down haha
Sorry for the delay... Work work work... Pics taken on hp cam. No money to buy a proper cam cos I spent it all on knives. There are a few more knives I've yet to photograph and sold a few too. Will update later. Meanwhile enjoy the crappy pics. Doing a mass order for CRKT Drifters for some of the boys at work... If anyone is interested contact me.
Love the Benchmade Skirmish (cos of the titanium handles) so much I bought another one... Also pictured is a H&K knife (made by Benchmade). I love Benchmade's quality... Yet to be disappointed by them. Both of these are discontinued. 154cm blade.
Up next is an Orange Millitary from Spyderco... Sprint Run of only 1200pcs. This is a HUGE knife but surprisingly light. Orange G10 and S30V blade.
Spyderco Manix 2. CF handle and CPM S90V blade... Only 400 made and I went crazy buying 2 of these. Very few left on the market. Light cos of the CF but the blade is chunky. S90V is a supersteel. Super edge retention... Too bad the co. making it is going bankrupt due to the economy. Last few knives in which this steel will be used.
Sage 2. Titanium handle and S30V blade... Can't afford a Sebenza then this knife is an option.
Spyderco Lum Chinese folder. 600pc Sprint run... Bought 2 satins and 1 coated. Aluminium almite handles and VG10 blade.
Ontario RAT3, my only fixed blade. Micarta handle with D2 blade. Wayne Goddard with white micarta handle and VG10 blade. The RAT3 will be with me on my upcoming week long trek in WA. The Goddard will be my backup to my main edc, an Endura 4. For my users I tend to prefer combo edged blades.
I'll photograph the rest later... No more new knives for me till Dec.
Azad...
Hi ALL,
I'm a newbie here.
Please help me to find where to buy a Gerber LMF II in Singapore.
Thank you.
Not sure which store has it but I know Sheares and Beach Road army market sells Gerbers. Sheares can probably bring it in if they don't have it but be prepared for a long wait and some mark up. you can try to bring it in yourself by buying online. Cheaper but slight hassle...
Do check the blade steel if you buy one... There are some in 440A (bad), 420HC (not that bad) and Sandvic steel (best of the 3).

Thanks Loneriderz for your value guides.
The LMF2 is a huge knife... If you can try to handle one before buying. Do some research before buying... It's not a bad knife but there are other options out there that can serve you well as a survival knife. It's a nice blade, pity I'm not into serrations especially on a knife this size.

That's right.....
When it comes to stainless, it's important to get good metal. If not, it won't hold its edge and tough to sharpen well....
If you have seen LMFII's promotional video on youtube, you'll prolly be impressed but the spear making cababilty and chopper skin cutting....
You can do all with any other knife...LMFII is a good looker - I must admit I was damn gian for 1 week. But after looking at other knives e.g. Fallkniven, Rat, Becker, etc...LMFII starts to pale in comparison...
But that's just my opinion.
You can check out LMFII at Sheares Technology - they have one in the display.
I'm with Loneriderz - serration is no-no for me, hard to sharpen and it's practically impractical for a blade bigger than 4".
