does the border clash between india and Pakistan involved armour battle? or it is just too mountainous?

India and Pakistan share a very long border which includes both moutainous and desert terrain which is optimum for armoured warfare

As projects went it Arjun was very ambitious for a country with no pior knowledge of building modern MBTs... but I'll bet they have a lot more experience in that area now.

personally i respect both pakistan and indian artillery unit... their capability were ....how to say....zenith? Their experience in modern arty warfare still unsurpassed by any army today.
You name it both have try every tricks in the book...MFSL ? done that...even create their own doctrin on it some more...simply amazing.

Sometimes one has to take the excessive nationalistic Indian press (and Wikipedia entries) with a grain or 2 of salt. I recall recently on another thread (http://www.strategypage.com/militaryforums/72-20001.aspx) that Arjun will not be operational for a while. The Indians have recently bought up to 1,000 T-90s (local production), which means Arjun is:
1. Inferior to T-90 (?)
2. Not operational or cannot be mass produced for some reason.
I do not imply any negative bias on the Arjun (or any Indian equipment/product), but my take on this MBT project is it is a white elephant - it has sucked up so much funds and not produced a substantiative tank that can go into production. Perhaps it's a case of misplaced nationalistic pride (not to cancel it) - the money could have been spent acquiring a better foreign-made tank.

India has developed a new nonlethal weapon in the war on terror: the curry hand grenade. The device packs curry, peppers and phosphorous that creates a choking cloud that brings baddies to their knees within seconds. A tank mounted version is also available for hosting larger events for terrorists hungry for pain.
i am curious about the tank mounted version. Must be really hot.

I thought I read somewhere back then, the Arjun project was scaled back tremendously to the point of cancellation?
