We gotto borrow one of them infra red scanner or camera, mount it on a helicopter one night, and go scan the forested areas.

Huh?
Excuse me for going off-topic but...OMG your user account ID only has 2 digits. You are the 15th member of sgF. Even Fifi's ID is around 900 something.
something like that ah?
infrared thermal image device ah? good suggestion....but do we have one in the first place to start with...

I think we don't have one. That's probably why it hasnt been done yet, or maybe no one even raised the idea.
We should borrow one from US or Israel or something...
Mas Selamat stealth cloaking device were doing well...
thats why even going toilet he can run with no detection of any guard lol
Tropical jungles are infamously hard for sensors to penetrate--I am not sure that even the sensors that the US has on their satellites or spy planes will be useful. The reason for that is the thick canopy i.e. All the trees are an effective screen for any sensor, IR or otherwise. Add in the fact that because it is Singapore, the background thermal signature is already high, and it would be hard to detect any contrast. Some times sensors and electronics can't replace a highly trained human (i.e. Gurkha) :)
u knw hw to fly the helicopter anot 1st.

Edwin3060 is totally right - our vegetation & trees in the forest or jungle area are way too thick for any infra or thermal to penetrate ...!
Mas Selamat cant be found already, who would be so stupid to keep hiding in the forest? These few days keep raining.
I think the moment he ran out is to ask from a stranger for some money to make a call for his ka kias to pick him up. The media havent released his face yet mah.
He should be enjoying his life right now in someone's house. Most probably not HDB cause many people would have spotted him. Some private estate i think. With air-con, tv, good food, hot bath. Watching the police and saf doing overtime for him. Laughing his butts out. Mas Selamat havent die the other high ranking officers will die first arh.. Stress plus high blood pressure, maybe vomit blood..

what talking you ah?
Borrow USA's spy satellitte...
actually, we DO have the sensor thing. it uses heat, not infra red. the police n SAF people are using it now... costs a bomb though
SAF has HHTI. I used it before.

Absolutely I agree with you but the part about the Ghurka....please dont overrate them as we also have the SAF in there.

I believe it is manufactured by Chartered Industries

It cannot penetrate the thick vegetation !!! You have to approach it to a certain distance which is close , before it can detect, on the so call screen you see most properly the face or hands or legs area - provide those are not cover by vegetation.
At the moment - there is nothing heat, infra or thermal - that can penetrate thick vegetation .... !!!
If he is out there in the jungle - the last thing you find him wondering into one of these sensor !!! He would stay put deep inside - why ... moving through the jungle is dangerous at night especially alone .... it is slow, hard to nagivate, also very high risk of injury which he does not want at this moment.
The best way to detect him in jungle - using what commerically call the trail camera ( of course military have much better version) - which has been use common in US for their hunters and animals researchers ..... sticking each on to possible trails .... it have sensors that trigger camera - that will record what have went past .... It have been use very successfully - they even have infra red flash - which mean - human or animals will not see the flash at all , thus does not even know their photo been taken. Below is an example of one with infra red flash

Bro 15...IR how to check HDB???

i think so leh
Time is not on Mas Selamat's side and the people looking for him is hoping that he would come out with his hands up soon>that is if he is hiding in the forest and not in someone's home shaking his legs.

the Ghurka are the 2 police officer that escort him to toilet, how to trust local ghurka any more, even LKY now scratching his head, it is due to he do not trust MINDEF & Home team, he employed " Soilder of Fortune"
now LKY will plan employing England Ghurka
Maybe the Gurkhas are just not trained for Toilet and Sai Kang duties
Gotta call in the zoo rangers.. They are well trained in finding those rare creatures, like those endangered species.
btw who has anyone really seen mas selamat before???
up till now he's like not showing up..
he's either gone far away/ hiding very well/ he doesn't even exist (possibility that the govt is bonding the pple tgt)
hahas tt's a crazy tot but then there's alot of suspicious details like he can escape so easily, no one is telling us the reason why & the news has sort of died down about his search after some time (apart from the complaints abt the checkpoints to JB).
omggg..
