69 Intrepid, 70 Steadfast and 71 Tenacious will be commissioned this coming 5th of Feb.

This is good news. After this there will be 2 left right? Once all 6 babies are ready the Navy can move on to their next toy

72 Stalwart and 73 Supreme are set to commission by early next year latest.
That will be the highlight of my NS life.
Anyway, 73 is set to undergo sea trials soon. Perhaps in May.

Actually only Formidable was made in France, the rest were made in S'pore.

check out the french FREMM frigate... its almost an identical copy of our formidable... even the radar and weapons are similar if not identical.

if u read today Wed 06.Feb 2008 Strait Times,u can see the ship body purposely made to curve to reflect radars.
How shall we decribe it more precisely and in some technical terms?pl share here lah..

My bad, Intrepid left on the 10th which was....yesterday.
Formidable would be going to India, Steadfast to San Diego....if I not mistaken.
