BLIND PILOT?!!! WTF?!!!!Originally posted by lionnoisy:Few years ago RSAF sent F5 or A4 to intercept Cessna with a
blind pilot on board.
Why this time sent F16?
At least these planes are well-utlised from training to routine operations.Originally posted by pwnz0r:buy expensive plane so must use mah
There was radar tracking it.Originally posted by SpecOps87:Am curious...was ADA tracking and do they already have a firing solution on the intruding aircraft?
What happened at your AB today? Any news?Originally posted by monkeybusiness:it's big news today in my airbase
This question a bit hard to answer on a public forum I think. IMO, the people who know won't say.Originally posted by chanjyj:I thought Changi Airbase (East) Airplanes were F16 Blk 52+? Its primary role is ground attack and not primarily a fighter is it not?
Why not use another airbase which has dedicated fighters rather than gound attack/multi role aircraft?
I am not exactly familiar with aircraft, so correct me if I'm wrong.
Actually the article didn't say where the plane was from.... Why did you say it was from CAB East? The article only said the intruder was force to land in Changi Airport....Originally posted by chanjyj:I thought Changi Airbase (East) Airplanes were F16 Blk 52+? I guess because they officially closed the commercial air space so that they have to issue a statement.Originally posted by spencer99:I wonder what is the official reason for the intrusion... i think it must be quite serious or suspicious... or maybe just because the Cessna pilot forget to file a flight plan and didn't listen out on the radio....
You were correct in guessing plane used in the intercept.Originally posted by spencer99:Today's papers confirmed that there are 2x F16Ds being scrambled... so most probably 145 SQN from CAB.
Maybe someone had a sudden impulse to fly in for a Bak Kut Teh dinner. Decision made halfway in the skyOriginally posted by spencer99:Today's papers confirmed that there are 2x F16Ds being scrambled... so most probably 145 SQN from CAB.
I think those two pilots are completely inconsiderate.... I wonder whether they delibrately did not file a flight plan or they delibrately 'forget' and/or try to create problems or play a prank....
if they do it delibrately, i think they should be severly punished. maybe jailed or something...
