Israel and Palestine ? Please explain

pardon my ignorance.. can someone please explain to me in simple ways.. what is the whole history about Israel and Palestine and the area? Why do they fight so much... objectively who is right or wrong etc? Please.. much appreciated. -

You see there is no israel last time.
In 2nd world war, german prosecute the jews, thus a lot of jews flee ....or got kill or lock up,
After the 2nd world war, US and other countries - UN decide to give the jews a piece of land ... to re-settle them down. So they give them a piece of land in the middle east - that is isreal. However soon the middle east folks are not happy because that they feel is their land which is give away. So that lead to the middle east war ... six day way. But by then the isreal has grown strong. They in fact won the war and capture more lands ..... and isreal grow in size.
So what happen part of isreal is actuall palestine land
which they lost when they attack isreal and lost.
Of course the palestine - are treat badly by the isreal that is because they attack isreal and lost ... But then palestine try to wipe out isreal in the first place ... and they still have this dream, and they do not seem to be giving up on it .
The issue is hard, 1st even isreal give bad the occuipped territories, the palestine are no happy till isreal is totally destoryed . On isreal side, there is no way for them give back the lands also as more jews have come to isreal and have already settle down on those new lands .... -

erm.. if i am not wrong , there WAS an israel.. a long time ago friend.The are the only nation to simply be plucked out from thier homeland.. n moved to egypt... as slaves. Anyways , long story cut short.. lets fast forward liaw it because current scenario. Promised land. So ya.. like u said. Historians believe that the Jews were expelled from the Holy Land by Romans somewhere in 70 AD. but the british also played a role by promising the same land to both the jews and palestines, which aggravated the conflict. then they simply pulled out of the area and left the job to the un.
also, the un partitioned land for both the jews and arabs. although, the arabs did not agree to it, the jews quickly gathered the portion of land and establsihed sovereignty and declared it as israel.
palestinians were marginalized in israel cause the jews were extremely defensive considering that they were surrounded by other arab countries, thus inciting their hatred and nationalistic feelings.
so many years later, we have the palestinian liberation org (PLO) looking to establsih land for the palestinians, and the respective terrorists factions. -
This is what I understand about the conflict.
Judah was conquered by Roman Empire somewhere before Christ. Judah became a Roman province.
Around ~70 AD, a Jewish rebellion occured. Romans completely smashed the rebellion. Jewish temple destroyed and Jews expelled from Palestine/Israel. Jews subsequently scatter all over the world. Jews effectively become stateless.
Fast forward to early 20th century. Jews start to push for a Jewish homeland.
Fast forward again to post-WWII. The British,the mandate holders of Palestine/Israel at the time, grant the Jews a state in the area.
UN divides Israel/Palestine into a Israeli controlled zone and a Palestinian controlled zone with Jerusalem under international control. Arab nations aren't really happy about it. They attack Israel. Arab nations lose this war. The Palestine controlled areas lose large portions of territory. Lotsa Palestinians flee and become homeless and stateless.
That kinda sums up the roots of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
I'm not entirely clear about the details. I might have gotten bits and pieces here and there wrong. Feel free to correct it.
