look obviously you can disagree but can you not just post YOUR top 15 or so and argue why they're there.
there is no way we can compare each force. we can have a mighty heartware force with outdated hardware hitting a mighty hardware without the heartware silly.
take a look at the Vietnam war, the Viets hold up the mighty USA, so the Viets should be ranked world tops? -
may i add that there are also other factors to consider, like the scenario and doctrines etc. some forces are better adept in some situations den other forces.
i just find it n00bish to compare the forces simply by looking at their hardware, just my 2 cents worth -
i think one of the factors need to consider is also experience. During WWII, the US learned from experience from North Africa and Italy campaign before embarking on D Day.
So certainly those countries who have extensive military experience are proven force. -
actually some of you are being childish weapons stocks and types of weapons held (and ability to make such) is important and decisive. experience helps but it isn't a decisive factor.

for instance the most experienced in warfare or at least amongst them, will be iraqis and syrians (mesopotemians) etc but they lost badly to americans and israelis despite being packed with similarly advanced weaponry (at least close in quality and numbers).
experience isn't the be all and end all. that was my point. -

i would love to see the viets take on the USA one on one and see if they can still win.... without all those big brothers provide free guns, bullets, tanks, food and "advisors"
