And these are big sized angmos. Still the G11 almost jumped off their shoulder with each burst.Originally posted by |-|05|:I meant 2000 pieces lol not in the year 2000.
It was said that the project scrapped after the West Germans merged with their Eastern brothers and decided they cldnt spend so much on arms
Google it i guess hah
Anyway the recoil well in burst fire mode you actually fire off 3 rounds before you actually feel any recoil. But it does look quite bad hah
Oo-rah. The H&K G11 and G11E.Originally posted by tankfanatic:wow the first time i saw this rifle is in the game Fallout2

Won't be out that soon. It's in final pre-production though. Perhaps Spring 2008.Originally posted by tankee1981:I played Fallout Tactics and it is great! Realistic game...heard Fallout 3 is out...anyone have played this newer version?
Flechettes are banned by Geneva are they?Originally posted by chino65:And these are big sized angmos. Still the G11 almost jumped off their shoulder with each burst.
It is a pity caseless didn't move forward. Definitely is the biggest step forward for firearms in more than 100 years.
Do you know that some of the caseless ACR ammo were "flechette" rounds?
Fechettes are basically darts, like nails with fins. The flechettes fly straighter than conventional bullets and they can pack 3 into one cartridge in some cases.
After caseless was abandoned, they tried putting the flechettes into standard cartridges. Again, can't remember how that went...
Anyway, shotguns shells with flechettes are available.
can't be.Originally posted by wonderamazement:Flechettes are banned by Geneva are they?
Hmm... Because i once read an article about fletchettes being difficult to remove and they do serious damage to the organs compared to conventional bullets...Originally posted by chino65:can't be.
They were part of the ACR trials where the G11 debut.
Some of the ACR's fired flechette caseless ammo.
Later on, there were some trials of flechettes being place in conventional brass cartridges. i read all this in a magazine long ago - togehter with pictures and ballistics reports. but I can't remember liao.
I do remember that they said flechettes fly much more level than bullets without the trajectory issue. But I can't remember if they are as lethal.
The recoil is indeed strong. But to be fair that is a rather old design. Revolutionary at that time and now but still done some time back. So i am thinking with the current advances in weapon technology, with better and newer materials we can solve/minimise this strong recoil issue.Originally posted by chino65:And these are big sized angmos. Was it universally proven that all the caseless ACR didn't work well? Or was the ACR programme abandoned for other reasons like funding etc?Originally posted by tankee1981:The recoil is indeed strong. But to be fair that is a rather old design.
