ever had someone in your BMT squad be totally braindead that the rifle barrel and the bolt carrier group were choked with mud and the bloody bolt rusted to the bloody chamber thing.. and it took levering with the bloody entrenching tool to open up the bloody rifle?
there was one in my squad..
before the squad leader, the platoon sergeant and the PC found out, i had to clean out the entire fricken rifle for him...

during conversion, i had a platoon mate who aimed a SAW using the carrying handle. "Master, Master, the scope spoil, i cannot see anything."

It was during a course in 1981 when we were awakened at 3am in the morning to the sound of a GPMG firing we just grapped our weapons and rushed our of our bunks without even having the time to wear our shirt or shoes).One of us was holding a broomstick> This young LT is now a full Colonel.

We informed one of our platoon mates that we'd have to pull down our briefs to show the sect comd we had powdered our privates during field camp in BMT.
Oh.... how I remember the sect comd's face. -
During live firing, this guy just could not stand obliquely to aim properly with the M-16 with the result of him hitting targets. Not his.
He gan jiong bcos he was so damn 'accurate', never count the rounds he fired, went through the motion of checking clear and pressed the trigger.
BAH!!! -
We had a private posted to our Brigade HQ. Private Sotong had just been kicked out of OCS.
Once during area cleaning of the bunks, he just stood at the staircase holding a broom and daydreaming.
Private Sotong, though, gets to park his car in the same tiny car park as the Bde Cmdr.
Private Sotong is one of late President Ong Teng Cheong's sons. -
This next story doesn't count as anyone being " blur " but is a good training scenario to share.
BMT, night training, we were supposed to charge and overrun enemy position through the forest.
We spread out one line and charge forward firing.
But nobody could run in a straight line cos of the trees and vegetation. Some got slowed down etc. I ran into a huge spiderweb invisible at night.
In the end, whole section was declared casualty due to crossfire cos everyone's running spped not constant and crisscross direction due to obstacles. -

got once, my fren was slping.den we took pens n markers to write on his elbow n knees "f*ck me plz" den he woke up n din know wad we did.went on for the day until afternoon my sect comm was with us den he dropped something near my that fren so he bend down n pick up den see the msgs on his knees.nxt thing u know "SMLJ?" my fren was on the ground getting f*cked whole we were laughing our a*s off

During SISPEC training.
We were having Platoon Live Firing (Night)
We were line up 1 straight line (men ic men sc men ic men) then need to do fire movement down our own lane. You all know fire movement standard is IC move, men cover. Men move, IC cover fire.
This super sect comd, when his turn to move, stand up and run to the next bound of the men's lane beside him. Lucky the men saw and stop fire. If not i think the sect comd byebye liao.
His reason being..
"My glasses got fog"

me and my platoon mate were having cadet wing duty at wingline...then everybody gone already, my friend found that the WSM room was opened..so he went in and "borrowed' the pace stick and began to impersonate him in front of me and the rest on duty and oh boy, during his impersonations, we didnt know that the OCS Commander, the SSM, the Wing Commander and the WSM just had dinner just now and were walking to the wingline dunno for what and they managed to "crash" his performance
Simply put, he got the rest of the weeks left on duty...kana defaulter's parade every week...and tio ammo party for any live firings left...and if it was such a coincidence, he did commissioned and was posted to NCC -

His charge ? AWOL.... Sleeping in 6 tonner...Never report for duty...When with us always kbkb say MINDEF charge him or something... -

I heard from one of the SAF Enciks that he accidentally discharge a live round into his buddy leg and got sent to take charge duties In nCC -
