the last time the Singapore soldier open fire in anger was in 1964/65 in Kota Tinggi against Indonesian paratroopers who had earlier ambushed a 2 SIR platoon.
Even then, the 2 SIR troops were mainly Malaysian in origin.....hahaha
Jokes aside, the Sinagpore soldier has never fought a battle under battle conditions, unlike the Malaysians who fought in Somalia and the Indonesians in their off and on wars of minority ethnic Independence movements .........
I also have doubts on the calibre of scholars pretending to be Generals....hahaha...the only country with Generals who has never fired a shot in battle......

In terms of the calibre and intelligence of our troops we might be able to give the Malaysian and Indonesian soldiers a run for their mummys. But, and this is a big but, in terms of leadership the most prudent thing our generals and 'rear' admirals can do is dig a hole in the ground and stick their heads in it
