Shot in the head. Possible to stay alive?

I asking myself this question. It may sound awkward.
Anyone know how it feel like or how the person shut down the conscience in the body receiving a headshot from AK47? I still cannot figure out. Is it just black out? I heard from my friend that the brain will drop out. I thought it is only just a hole. And the person can stay alive drinking alcohol, heated knife to take out the bullet , burn the powder and tape the wound.
Guys who enter NS before may know the answer.
I guess i was shocked I saw a person been shot in the head but yet able to talk in a movie. Not sure the title.
Any cure for headshot by miracle surgeon? It is so sad to see people die in Counterstrike.

depends on which part the bullet hit, energy generated by the bullet..
if the bullet is fired from a certain range, 7.62 can actually destroy 1 quarter of the head.
there r some cases where the victim manage to survive and doesnt know that they had been hit by a bullet.. -

tiny entry wound....extremely huge exit wound...unlike the 5.56 round...the 7.62 will punch a whole so big u can fist fuck the exit wound

a bullet spins into the head from the front creating a hole its diameter and exit from the back creating another hole 6 times its diameter. u think can survive?

Can. There are many cases.

No black and white.
Some people die from one .22 gunshot wound.
Some people survive horrific injuries or being shot several times. Some people shot in the head suffer brain damage but survives. -
Can what... Never see news meh? Oh ya depends on the bullet too, betcha wun be able to survive a .50 calibre round...

This is horrible after you brother's description. That's mean the medics cannot do anything if the injury is caused by gunshot on the head.
Would you hear the gunshot before you get headshot? I guess bullet travel faster than sound.
I feel that guns and rifles must be banned worldwide, such a small piece of metal can cause so much damage to the weak human bodies. Unbelievable!

but if got explosions and bullets flying around....i'd just let him bleed out...
its a wasted effort...stores better used treating casualties who got higher chances of being saved -

In Singapore, gunshot wounds are rare, not to mention in the head.
The survival rate will depend greatly on which part of the skull / head the bullet end up with.
Most prob this patient will be send to CT or MRI/MRA brain onces vitals are being stablize in the resus room.
If the bullet end up anywhere lodged in the skull (as it is very thick and vascular) at the most, there will be massive bleeding, but will be stopped with pressure bandage and sitches after the bullet is being removed.
If the bullet end up in any part of the brain, with no exit wound, then the Neuro surgeons may ask for further investigations, for the exact location of the bullets. Depending on the location of where the bullet is lodged, sometimes removal will cause more harm then good.
If bullet is being hit at the back of the head hitting C1/C2 or the thalamic, most prob will be death on the spot. -

There were survivors of headshots..but of course it ain't from point blank and the calibre of the bullet damn small..headshot by an AK47? I doubt anyone can make it, point blank or not..
Those who survived headshots, the bullet inside the brain is not removed..because removing it would be too dangerous..or some had it removed but some of the bullet fragments are still left inside because the fragments are at important areas of the brain and removing it may cause permanent damage to that person's brain.. -

A pistol shot to the head maybe.
A 5.56 round to the head unlikely.
A 7.62 round from an Ak47? I can put 2 fist through the hole that the bullet makes on the way out... I don't think one can survive with so much brain matter lost -
7.62 from Ak47 won't kill if the person is shot in the head...
provided the bullet does not penetrate the outer skin of the head. -
