But not as bad that beheading is like a common practice to execute powsOriginally posted by Shotgun:Its just the nature of war.
You think only the Japs committed atrocities? That the Americans, the British didn't? Shooting POWs, torturing prisoners and civilians for information... you name it.
War is an uncivilized act. If they wanted something more civilized they should have just played chess.
No, they need to turn their young men, into murderers and tell them its right to take another human being's life because they are in the wrong uniform. Politicians see a need to have their soldiers spill blood on the battlefield, to inflict casualties to the other side in order to drive their point across. What else brings a stronger point across than the loss human lives?
Its almost sad to say that violence has been a source of change throughout history, and perhaps will continue to be that source in the future.
The only civilized soldiers exist in Peace, and 6ft under in War.
it is their culture !!! - look back at japan - the war that was fought before it was united - it was as bloody - soldiers rape and kill their own people .... !!!Originally posted by crusader91:As most of you know that the japanese soldiers commit many atrocities in world war 2, i won't say all but most of them are like that including the naval personels

Japan is considered to be well developed and its people are among the well educated in the early 20th century, but why are they like this?
They also treated the russian prisoners of war well during the russo-japanese war in the 1904 but why suddenly became so barbaric in world war 2 even though the so called code of bushido has already existed in their culture?
No one can say what type of soldiers we have in a conflict......
even if we have moral education which no one takes it seriously
Well said, soldiers are trained to kill their enemies and their enemies are mainly strangers to them.Originally posted by Shotgun:Its just the nature of war.
