Question On S'pore Sniper

Hi.... was at the SAF Open House 2007. Got my first exprience handling a real life Sniper Rifle there...... shiok
Question -
1) Are we using the US made Remington 700 as our Sniper Rifle
2) Anyone know of any plans to replace this 'Work Horse' with a better or newer model
3) Since we produce many 'homemade' small arms.... shouldn't we also produce our own Sniper Rifle for SAF, Police Force or expot
4) Do anyone know, is SAF considering using those Super Cool Large Caliber Rifles that shoots 0.5 rounds....

No Sniper trained Member here I'm from Navy myself..... never even 'charge' up a hill before. So have little knowledge of small arms.

SAF doesn't use the Remington 700. Mainstay is stilll the Styer SSG, while 6SIR does use the PGM Mini-Hecate and Sig-Sauer SSG3000. CDOs do use the L96A1 aka AWP sniping rifle. 3rd div brought it down for COA to fire. I happen to sneak in to the group of crabs and stars gathering to @@ the weapon. I only LCP.
3rd Div CO saw me there and ask me to try it out (prolly cos of my marksman badge). Too bad my friend not ard to take photo for me.
Yup.. it was heck of a gd experience. I've got shots of COA shooting it tho. -

With below $2,000 salary every month, you must still be living with your parents. Can't even afford a car with that kind of salary, maybe motorbike.
I pray hope that your children don't inherit any of your genes, that is if you can afford a house and get married. If you do get married, it's better you ask your wife go sperm bank to look for geniuses to fertilize the ovum. It's for the future of Singapore, else all will end up like you.

SSG phased out liao. Came out in the papers long time ago. Now using Mini Hecate.
