Talking about visitors, recently four people came to meet Najib and Rosmah came out to interrogate them as to whether they were there to talk about politics or business. When one of them asked what the difference was, Rosmah replied that if they wanted to talk about politics then they can meet Najib, but if it was about business then they should talk to her instead. The appalled visitors then remembered one Ministry of Defence meeting that was chaired by Rosmah while Najib just sat there quietly as Rosmah took the chair as the de facto Defence Minister. Rafidah Aziz actually raised this matter at one Cabinet meeting and asked whether Najib or Rosmah is the Defence Minister."

Malaysia Sub Security - 29 October 2007
MalaysiaÂ’s first Scorpene submarine was launched last week, KD Tunku Abdul Rahman, named after the countryÂ’s first prime minister, was unveiled in a historic ceremony at the DCNS dockyard, about 400km from Paris.
In keeping with maritime tradition, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor broke a bottle of water against the submarineÂ’s sail to signify the official launching and naming of the vessel.
The Deputy Prime Minister’s wife then unveiled a plaque with the submarine’s name and called upon “Allah to bless her and all who serve and sail with her”.

What happen if they submarine sinks .... they do not have the equipment for the rescue ... !!!
At least australia and Singapore have already got the equipment & practise and train on it . -

I think we should go rescue them with the media in full view...that will embarass them for some time and stop them from critisizing and blaming us for a while.

MINDEF has awarded a contract to Singapore Technologies Marine Ltd (ST Marine) / James Fisher Defence Limited (STM/JFR) to provide submarine rescue services to the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). The 20-year contract is expected to commence in 2009.
This Public- Private Partnership project will benefit MINDEF in two ways. First, it allows MINDEF to tap on the specialised expertise and best practices available in the industry when dealing with contingencies which require submarine rescue services. The French gave someone in Malaysia a large consultancy contract when the Malaysian govt bought this sub.
Wah..... French need Malaysian consultants.......for what I wonder ............150 million ringitts or more?
Anyway.....hats off to the French who are master salesmen.......
