If i am right, the U.S army is experimenting on the new 6.8 mm bullet?
If it proves to be succesful in doing it's purpose (velocity of a 5.56 and stopping power of a 7.62) Without losing accuracy... Will the SAF rechamber our infantry firearms to accomodate the new rounds? -

Definitely SAF is not adopting any new assault rifle calibre, it is not worth it at all to issue another 300,000+ re-chambered rifles.
By the way, it is the 8.6mm that Singapore used, and it is for the PGM mini-Hecate long range sniper rifle, that is slowly replacing the existing Steyrs.
