He won't want to do that once he sees his RWR going off. If I want to take evasive maneuvers like that, I'll return him a present before doing so. Lets all get busy! =)Originally posted by specialOps:Depending on which mode his radar is on, you may not be able to totally get out of his scanning window.
Even then, the pilot is also not stupid, he can tilt up/down his radar to find you, or he can change mode.

They'll make technicians busier than they want to be too.Originally posted by sgf:Don't diss Russian jets. In the hands of experienced pilots, the Sukhois are deadlier than you think.
Do you have a link for this?Originally posted by Arthas79:And the Malaysians are stuck with a plane they hardly understand(no proper manuals) and know much about. What kind of procurement is that?
news say Spore has signed contract to lease land in India to train air force F-16 pilots.Originally posted by norm:They will likely opt for the latest China J-10 fighter to save money.
No doubt the Sukhois that are entering our region are capable, but their numbers are far too low to actually present a significant threat to the Vipers we have. That`s 18 sukhois from Malaysia and 12(?) in Indonesia with more to come surely; especially from the Indonesian side. 30 Sukhois in total. Nope. Id put my faith in more F-15SGs rather than the current 12 + 8 we have opted for. Times are changing. The aerial strategic balance is changing as well. Where we can be contented with F-16s versus poorly run airforces with planes that can hardly fly, we would have to contend with leading fighter jets of the new century. Of course, there is always China and India and the need to help keep the balance of powers in SEA.
You mean in Asean, there is no F-15 class heavy fighters existing that leads you to get such an impression?Originally posted by LazerLordz:The F-15SG is more aligned towards meeting external non-SEA threats in the future.
