Formation badges

Just curious why there is no formation badge for 21 Div. I can understand for 25 Div as that is a 100% reservist division. But 21 Div is active. And since 3, 6 & 9 Divs have their badges, why not 21 Div?
Also, how do they decide which formation badge to use? For e.g. my friend's in a NS infantry unit. But his badge is not Infantry, its 2 PDF. So take 30 SCE for e.g. Since they are under 3 Div, will their badge be 3 Div or SCE?

Sometimes it will be great if we know there is a 21div and yet do not officially recognize it. Keep our neighbour guesting !!!
Also 21 div already had a formation badge... if you consider the the guards tabs as the formation badge.. except that we cannot recognize all elements in the formation. -

25 div is pure reservist fmn? frm wat i heard frm my previous ops wo, 21 div is supposedly a 'classified' unit. during last year's saf day, when i called up those 21 div personnel for attendance, their appt all 'classified appt'.

Nothing really classified. If it is, it wouldn't appear in Tim Huxley's Defending The Lion City.
25 Div's commander is also Chief Armour Officer. And 21st Div is actually a rapid deployment force & its commander is the Chief Guards Officer. -

Certain units' names and numbers should not be discussed. -
formation badges should be the standard shape...
6DIV round.....3DIV is a shield...imagine transferring from 1 division to another especially if u sewed on the velcro instead -

Tim Huxley's book is based on certain assumptions and is not 100% accurate.
Because most of us here were or is in active service, it makes our words credible and it becomes a confirmation to certain things our potential adversaries might be trying to guess and figure out.
A little info here and there by a few NSmen, regular and NSF about formations and units...will form into a complete picture with their other sources.
As far as I know... SAF only has 5 Divisions, 3, 6, 9 DIV...21st Div and 25th Div being reserve units and simply a command element for reserve NSmen. -

the www is a very powerful tool for intel gathering. A bid of info here and there will form a great picture for our adversaries, about our strengths weakness, type s of units and tactics they employ, etc, etc. See why SAF like to keep secrets and publically announce some stuff.

Since we're in this topic, might as well say this....there're all kinds of people here on this forum, its a public forum.
We cannot talk like as if its only Singaporeans reading this, if not we'll be quite naive.
Truth is, intelligence gathering takes place 24/7 from all kinds of countries, and alot of these are conducted thru open sources such as newspapers, forums etc. nowadays...cause Singaporeans simply talk alot on forums. -
When you study strategic studies and military affairs, you'd see much more publicly published articles, journals that might surprise you more.
And here we are dicking around what 21st or 25th mean. It is public knowledge that CGO is Comd 25th Div. And that's not even from Tim Huxley either.
