SAFTI MI library

Was on leave yesterday. So went to the Safti MI library.
Wow, i was like a kid in a candy store. Heaps of military materials there. Need to exchange a pass to get in too.
Worth a visit for all military enthusiast. -

Its open to the public. You can borrow stuff there too.
or choose to watch their military films there. -
they have hell lotsa stuff but no one ever touches them.. LOL or at least my time the library is like ghost building. IIRC the accept normal library card to borrow certain materials.

Last time can borrow from there and return at any NLB branch...now die die must return at SAFTI,the distance to travel there is what is keeping me from going there regularly.

The SAFTI Library recently extend its collection of books to members of the public for loan, as part of the ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Defence to promote and raise awareness of defence and security-related issues.With the ELiMS® in place which allow patron to 'drop-in' to return library materials, members of the public can borrow the books from the SAFTI Library and return them at either the SAFTI Library or any of the National Library Board's regional of community libraries.

business ?In SG,we can and watch life of trainee,incl OCS.
Other buildings is out of bound.But we can eat at the canteen.
Very ideal for taking photo.

The SAFTI library has been open to public since January 2003.
The place was one of my frequents while I was living in Singapore.

Yeap, I frequented it last year when I was doing a security studies module.
A lot of useful information, but it's inconvenient if you don't drive. Taxis can't go up to SCSC. -

When i was a cadet and perm staff, that place is like a favourite jaunt sia...read so many declassified doctrines and information about other countries..i was shocked they even have that "thing" in the first place...
but it's a cool place to go la..esp if u a perm staff at SAFTI..can borrow as many books as u want I once hoard half a L/R full -

Initially, for formal research..wanted to regularly contribute to Pointer..but then, work becoming more stressful and duties getting more and more...So, in the end, read for fun ahOriginally posted by beavan:why would you require so many books? doing formal research?
