Syria 'fires on Israel warplanes'

Syria has said its air defences opened fire on Israeli warplanes after they violated its airspace in the north of the country.

Its possible that the IAF is testing out Syria's air defences. Syria have recently taken delivery of a new air defence system (Pantsyr-S1E self-propelled short-range missile air defence system) from Russia. And the Israelis aren't particularly happy about that as it may end up in Hezbollah's hands.
