all missile looks similar... else they would not be called missiles...Originally posted by MyVi:not sure about this missile, but it seems likes similar to this one
Krasnopol

Perhaps, but then the seeker will be very, very small, and MY one not only look longer than Krasnopol, it started to taper in the middle and taper more at the cone area., unlike Krasnopol.Originally posted by CM06:It might be a crude rudimentary laser homer or it could be a super small new advance seeker. The tip from what i can scrutinise, is capable in carrying a seeker with a reduced sight cone angle . It's doable still.
I think a similar type is perhaps...the KAB series? I remember their nose cone also similar small in size.
that one not missile... that one shoot through the artillery tube one...Originally posted by caleb_chiang:all missile looks similar... else they would not be called missiles...
if they want to hide... they wont put it on display...more like an attempt to wayang MALAYSIA BOLEH!Originally posted by Fingolfin_Noldor:Or they intentionally wanted to hide the nature of the seeker.
And Krasnopol is not a missile. It is an artillery projectile.
alot of thing can hit singapore... try durian... its more terrifying... especially one that is throw all the way across the singapore strait.Originally posted by Daniel-Lim:Jokes aside, can hit Singapore good enuf.
Like Chino said, this looks like a low-tech militia weapon.
A "force multiplier", to borrow a SAF keyphrase.
But this unit does look like a guidance system.
Maybe the missiles on display are dummies?
sorry to say but look like terrorist.... weapons on a semi jeep?? hmmmm......Originally posted by crusader91:Can't they at least mount that on some armoured vehicles?
Looks like technicals in africa.......
Looks like they want to use hit and run strategy.
As Mao Tze Tung said, it doesn't matter whether it is a white or black cat as long as it can catch mice, it is a good cat.Originally posted by crusader91:Can't they at least mount that on some armoured vehicles?

nope... KS-1 not in MAF service... MAF only talk shiok only....Originally posted by equlus84:I think they mount it on the truck so as to display to the public. Eg. you can't expect them to put it in the tank barrel or arti barrel and the MC announce the weapon yet the crowd can't see. Another example is like those HY-2 Ashm we see on NK military parade videos, by right they should be in canisters, but for parade sake, they bring it out of canister. Maybe RMA have not officially inducted it, so they are mounted on crude jeeps.
I think whether this missile is gd a not is not impt...... It is the strategic impact of this indigenious missiles have on SEA. Remember PRC sold some KS-1A to MY? It is said some MANPADS technology is transferred to MY as part of the deal, so we must be careful as they might have a slight edge in missile techs. PRC might be following the steps of USA back in the 70s, to load the "pawn" states with huge amount of weapons to check their oponents. Eg. is Iran in the 70s
Dude, there's not even a need to protect the optical openings of a laser guided weapon. Sapphire crystals are more or less the second hardest stuff next to diamond and it takes more than a sandstorm to even cause a minute scratch on it. IMO, the weapon being shown is AT BEST either a wire-guided or FnF (Fire-and-Forget) weapon.Originally posted by Shotgun:maybe its just covered to prevent it from damage or getting dirty?
