Nothing too much regarding the Malaysian “ indigenized Laser guided munitions” so far, google’s only search result of "Sari XK98" laser guided is a Chinese forum listed below:

Similar but I dun think so it is, in fact I began to wonder whether it is laser guided weapon at all, becos like laser or TV guided weapon , usually it has a transparent cone at the war head end to work, I dun see it in MY system.
Whatever it is , it is certainly not , Krasnopol and unlikely to be laser guided as well as TV guided, it is too tapered and w/o a transparent cone. -
I think it is not like the Russian projectile as the Russian is optical guided why the Malaysian one do not seem so. Btw, I think this was a response to our purchase and upgrading of armour assets. I wonder can it be fired something like the AT-3 sagger, visual guided?

Especially with all the Enciks in petrol kiosk uniform, this whole get-up look very "people's militia" to me. Like those "technicals" in Somalia etc.
The missiles are probably "idiot-proof" as they are all pre-programmed to fly south. -

Laser guided munition need to lase the the target by a 3rd party, but the missile must be able to detect the reflected beam so it could home in, therefore the cone has a laser seeker in front with a transparent cone to detect that reflected beam, the MY system does not look it has.Originally posted by equlus84:Maybe it is guided by spec ops aiming laser or by aircraft laser designation
Here one Laser guided Hellfire, the seeker in front will make the cone more rounded and and with a transparent front.
Similarly TV guided one also look like that as well. -

Laser-guided weapons have clear front covers that are essentially artificial sapphire crystals. I think that option too expensive for them so they opted for the cheaper version yah?

Joke aside, it is still too tapered to have enough room for a laser seeker!!! -
Maybe those black stuff are sheath to cover the missile head so as to fool and mislead foreign intel services. Or maybe these missiles are meant to be cheap, mass produced anti armour missiles that is visually guided like that of AT-3 sagger, eg. to be mounted on light jeeps........

they created the laser guided missiles without laser guiding system because of cost constraints. but its still named laser guided missiles.
maybe next time they gt $ den slowly fit 1 by 1.

Approach this topic with a technical eye.
Just because it's made by others does mean it cant kill you or me. Best not to underestimate this flying projectile.
Try and look for similar variants on the web perhaps.
It might be a crude rudimentary laser homer or it could be a super small new advance seeker. The tip from what i can scrutinise, is capable in carrying a seeker with a reduced sight cone angle . It's doable still.
I think a similar type is perhaps...the KAB series? I remember their nose cone also similar small in size. -
